I know right from the get-go that I sound like a whiny kid. But I am a collector, and prefer to have my collections complete. I have every DLC armor, armor skin, map, weapon skin to date and emblems (minus the Raider Helmet w/the DSTT skin). But unfortunately, there is absolutely no way I’ll be getting the extra stuff from the Champions Bundle from collecting achievements in Spartan Assault. I do not own Windows 8, I do not own a Windows 8 device. Hell, I can’t even afford a cell phone. And there is no way my wife and I can afford Windows 8 as an update on my PC, plus I doubt the hardware on it would allow me to play it.
So yeah, this sucks. Really hating this. Hope they bring SA to Xbox Live Arcade. I really want those armor skins, DMR skin and Determination stance, simply because I feel the need to collect them all.
Even though I do own a windows 8 PC with a copy of Spartan Assault, I do agree with you. Non-windows users should have the ability to play it as well.
For the record, if you’re NOT a completionist/collector, I would advise against buying Spartan Assault. I’ve beaten every single Halo title except for that one, because I can’t stomach how bad it is. I’ve suffered for days to beat FFXIII, also known as Final Hallway, which was by far the worst Final Fantasy in the series, hands down. I stomached it because I’m a huge FF fan. I’m a huge Halo fan, but man…Spartan Assault is awful
Listen I know how you feel but windows 8 is simply not worth getting. If you do happen to get the funds to buy windows 8, I would recommend you just simply save your money. Windows 8 is a sub par operating system.
I’m the same exact way, I’m kind of frustrated about the whole Spartan Assault thing but at least I know I can purchase it at a later time to get the bonuses. All I am missing asside from those are three preorder skins, I’m basically up to date except for those. I really am hoping that Spartan assault comes to 360 because even the interface with the dual sticks looks like it should have been an arcade game from the beginning.
Sorry, but it’s a habit. I feel the need to put my name at the end of every post. After all, my wife and I both share an Xbox Live account. This also clears up confusion.
It’s pretty silly really how both 343i and Microsoft overlooked the whole halo community on the xbox and thought it would be a great idea to release spartan assault as a window’s 8 exclusive just to boost it’s sales of windows 8, they would have made so much more if they released it on xbox live.

No one overlooked anything, Microsoft just wants to sell Windows 8. That’s all there is to it. I do hope they release it for the Arcade though…
If you look online, there are ways to get trial versions of windows 8 and even free ones as well, plus online deals and specials. This also applies to phones.
I got windows 8 for free through my university so if you are going to school, there is that option.
343 is trying too hard to get people to buy spartan assault. Making stuff that we payed for only avalible if we buy their other game. That really bothers me because I was really looking forward to the Tiger skin for the DMR.
