Really guys?

So the scans are real but the MM info isn’t? That doesn’t even make sense.

Why does it matter? What if there are two playlists one with classic settings and one with new? What if the classic playlist and “new stuff” playlist each have EVERY GAMETYPE on it? Then what does it matter? It doesn’t . . . you get what you want, other players get what they want and everyone is happy . . . except no, players have to be too closed minded.

They think that Halo can’t change at all even if there is a playlist dedicated to the past. They think Halo has to be specifically catered to them and it’s selfish and nuts. This is the first place I came to when I found the leak . . . I wanted to see how many of you would be hard core whining and complaining and it was even worse than I first imagined . . .

I agree eith OP, even though some of these changes seem a bit iffy i.e. Forerunner vision and a few others, some of them seem pretty cool. I am willing to hear the explanations for these in the next podcast. I can understand why some of these changes may seem abhorring to others but i would like to reserve judgement until i see solid gameplay or when i play this game for myself.

So far what I have read is a great detail of campaign info. Covies are apparently boarding the ship as soon as Cortana wakes you up. You have been asleep for 7 years.
There will be custom loadouts but they are not as extensive as you think. You’ll just be able to pick what AA you want and a light weapon or two. Think of the Crysis 2 beta rather than CoD. That worked out great and people loved it.
Spartan Ops is explained more and it works kinda like a TV season they say. Each week you will gain new access to the Story aboard the UNSC Infinity.
Not seeing anything weapon spawning or that other stuff we’ve heard about yet. Still waiting for the rest.
Feel better yet or you just gonna rage at me again?

there were some scans with blotted out info and just pics. Then there was some info on MM in just text that someone typed up in a list format.

I feel fine. I’m not mad at all because I was fully prepared for this (although I didn’t predict things like x-ray vision). 343 went above and beyond what I expected in terms of gimmicks.

You need to think before you post though. Insisting that it wasn’t confirmed when it clearly was doesn’t make you look good.

Have fun being part of the minority that defends this game.

I don’t mind change and I’m sure he doesn’t mind change either, and maybe those of us who still prefer the older Halo games are a bit selfish. The problem I have is that the game is clearly going the route of call of duty and I honestly dislike the changes in that list for the most part. If you don’t want to witness people complaining about changes made to a series many of us played for years then you should probably not visit these forums, because that’s what the forums are for. :3

You speak the truth, man! I am so sick of some of the people on these forums.

But what if Halo went back to being completely classic? Remember that when Halo 2 came out it barely had any competition . . . if 343i made a revamped Halo 2 and called it Halo 4 that it would have the same sales but after a month less than half of the people who bought it would still be playing . . . Going completely back to its roots would make Halo bland and stale. These “gimmicks” are meant to keep players playing . . . and a classic playlist could keep the old players happy (especially if it included everything the other playlists had just without the new stuff).

? Your a confusing one you know. From the looks of things, most people are calmed down now and are sick of the complainers. Also, alot of the things said are still not even confirmed yet. Im reading the magazine right now and seeing the actual info. Not some typed up fake. Go read it yourself before you speculate. That has always been your problem.

> Wow, I’m glad to see everyone saying “quit whining” to respond to people saying that the changes suck, because “quit whining” is why the changes don’t suck, how insightful. Glad to know that you will be saying that exact phrase when the game actually arrives and people are condemning it for being absolute crap, yet you are too incompetent and ignorant to come up with justified reasons defending its niche in competitive gameplay.

Y’now, your post would make more sense if you have played the game. Just my opinion.

Frank Speaks again.

> Really? Is this all REALLY that necessary? I mean Jesus, it’s like the bloody apocalypse in here. Chill will ya. Yes, I understand that many of you would be angry, but I don’t understand why people will react with “fk you 343i” or “you are copying COD” or my personal favourite “halo is dead, 343 is -Yoink!- on its grave”.

This, This, this, and a million more times. This.

What find most ironic is that a lot of people complaining about where 343i is (allegedly) going now are (mostly) the same crowed that was begging, and then praising 343 when Reach’s Title update came about.

But also? The game isn’t even out yet. Don’t judge something that hasn’t even had a fair chance to present itself based on (likely) misinterperated information.

> Y’now, I am no rocket scientist or anything but…don’t you think that’s a little bit over the top? I mean, the only REAL CoD aspect added is spartan ops, and that only really refers to spec ops because of it’s name. In fact, there are so many aspects of it which aren’t even in CoD. So I don’t know why people assume its the same thing. Another thing is that I truly don’t understand the fact that people actually CARE that the maps are now holograms and what not. WHO THE HELL CARES? All I want to do is to shoot people and have fun, not whine about how my favourite map is actually a hologram (which in reality is the exact same thing as a real map BTW except 343 said this). Man I am just starting to think that the community is TRYING to find faults in the game, because the reasons why people hate the game (despite not actually playing it) continue to be more and more far fetched. Maybe it’s because I never did memorise where the weapons are in a map, but then I wonder who would. Maybe it’s because I Never did play as an elite, or maybe it’s because I understand WHY they aren’t playable this time around.

> Well, in any case, I am not going to flood the forums with constant whiny garbage until I have played the game and safely said it is rubbish. Until then, you AND I , can only speculate on how the game will be, so I am not going to say I won’t buy it, because regardless I will. I won’t say that halo is dead, because I haven’t played it. And I won’t say that 343 is in it for the money, because there is no reason to say that as of now.
>
> Hey, maybe you may even like the game when it releases. Maybe it’s better than you expect. Because I am keeping my hopes up and sticking by 343 until I see this game for sure, because that is what a fan does.
>
> And let’s not forget, 343 has thought hard about the desisions for the game. Stay open minded.

I think a lot of this is simply because we aren’t getting a beta. If we were, players would maybe calm down and wait 'till they had played the game. But without a beta, players have no way of telling if it will work and would rather be safe than sorry.
Another thing: Halo is an arena-shooter, not a sandbox shooter, but the addition of perks etc is slowly blurring the line
