Really good players play Team Objective?

ok i consider my self to be pretty good at this game right, i do well in the infinity and big team infinity slayers and other popular playlists, but ill go into team objective and meet these players in a 4 player party all max rank with ridiculous K/Ds, im matched with randoms and we get completely melted. i rarely see these amazing players in the other playlists but always find them in team objective…why?

There are people who like to prey on others who play objective for objective. Often they don’t even go for the win, they just sit back and pick off people. Since objective doesn’t have a kill limit, they can rack up amazing K/D’s on players who aren’t as skilled.

No, really good players just get tired of the random power weapon fiesta that 343 created. (Infinity) Playing a gametype that takes effort and talent to kill, as well as play an objective simultaneously without OD’s is more fun to better gamers. You know, competition? That thing 343 did such a terrible job at creating?

I know they wanted to make this game their own, but they really screwed the pooch with this one. Where is assault, neutral bomb, one flag, neutral flag? Key components of the halo franchise? I could make a list a mile long with everything they did wrong, and make a list with about two sentences of what they did right.

If you want to get merked, go into capture the flag, objective, or throwdown… that’s where the competitive gamers are lurking… and still hating this game more than you would ever know.

Anyone who is "hating this game more than would ever know" should really stop playing. 200 hours of play and 98% commendation progress, man you must just be depressed all the time dedicating so much time to something you hate.

got JIP’ed into an Oddball game, and the opposing team was set with two on ring 3, and the other two on the side walkways.

they were spawn killing and not trying to score. one of them would occasionally grab the ball to clear the timer, and them throw it back out into the pit. After a couple rounds of that crap, we started to try and take out the guys on the side, but between OD and them owning all the high ground,we could only knock them out temporarily.

At that point people were quitting in/out constantly, and could not organize a counter-offensive, and finally left myself.

because competitive players don’t like infinity slayer. Objective game types take more typically take more co-ordination and overall team work to be successful in, and then you have the problem of randoms not playing the objective when they are on your team.

Team coordination is the deciding factor in objective and CTF. I’m guilty of partaking in the act of scoring 3 times and just going for kills on CTF with friends…but hey you let it happen.

What makes you think this is supposed to impress anyone? This just implies you stat pad with CTF over and over again using a DMR while running from any possible threat.

Team Objective 9 out of 10 times is a stat padding playlist. I like it when my team and another competent team get matched up and a good match ensues. However, this is rarely the case because the low population results in staggered matchmaking trueskill.

He’s right

I play Objective all the time and I’d have to say the really good TEAMS play that playlist. Like the previous poster pointed out, once you’re up 3 in CTF it becomes ‘fish in a barrel’. I’d love to see CTF without any sniper rifles available - those ridiculous K/Ds would disappear quickly. (laughter) That last part may just be bitterness talking though.

Settler is the main reason for such padding in CTF. None of the other maps lend a team to racking up a ton of kills while having the other team spawn in the open with like 3 different snipers in play at once.

If they fixed the spawns, that map would be fantastic.

Objective just feels like Halo. One of the funnest playlist in the game. There are weapon drops at the beginning of every game and they only respawn when the first one has despawned. Most games are just you and your DMR/BR with nades, and try to work as a team to win. All the weapons drops are fair game, first one to get it, gets it. Nothing is spoon fed to you like other playlists. I love the 1v1’s you run into when 2 ppl are going for the same power weapon and the better person prevails and gets the weapon.
