I’ve noticed really bad lag during custom games. The entire screen freezes and the next thing I know I’m being sprayed to death by a magnum. The only way I can get out of this frozen screen is by boosting, but it’s not always guaranteed, It’s very detrimental during clan raids seeing as I need to be on my game for them. Has anyone else experienced this kind of lag.
I’m not big on customs, but usually to clear the problem (in my case) I try completely leaving halo (press the start button and hit close it) and restart it.
If that doesn’t work, I unplug my modem and router for a bit. Go to your settings on your console and do the internet test. It’s possible it’s the person hosting the game not you.

The other possibility is that the server cannot handle so many players on a big (detailed) map in a single go. That causes a lot of stress on the server, which can cause lag issues or even cause the game to crash entirely.

I can see that being a possibility. Raid maps are generally large and contain a lot of people.
