How is it possible that this person could easily mod the game to do a simple coding on a game that you guys could’ve done at launch. I have respected 343 in many ways and I can still support them but this is just wrong!
SO you would of liked to have to unlock each piece of your armor through microtransactions?

What? Hell no!

Easy, unlock the armor set, and after that you are free to use the pieces of the armor. So if you unlock the mark IV armor you can use the shoulders, cheast piece and so on …
Uhm… we all knew they could have and know they have the same ability at their studios because serversl different armor have the same parts like gauntlets and shoulder pad.
They just didn’t want to add it because they wanted to have tons of armors.
Honestly though. I’m not bent out of shape by this. It’s a design decision made by 343I and it’s in within their right to do so for it is their game.
It is for the most part a losing battle. Not every company is going to fold under the pressure from the masses like Bioware did at Mass Effect 3. That was utterly a fluke that the community succeed in that fight.
But yeah, this reminds me of when a modder was able to get theater mode working for halo 4’s campaign, and the community reacted to it, and nothing happening and we still don’t have it for Halo 5’s campaign
I don’t see the problem, sure it would have been cool to customise every piece of armour, but meh, im not fussed by it. Everyone’s freaking out about this like lol man just chill, it’s not the end of the world. I think gameplay is more important than character customisation.

Absolutely 1000x this…

The amount of posts I’ve seen about this is unreal. And everyone of them absolutely loses it and rages to the max. Like come on man, there’s no need for it. You whine about problems and bugs and what not, and you expect 343 to throw in full customisation just cause Reach? Nah man. 343 did the right thing and left it out, they wanted to focus on game modes and playlists, and the actual gameplay itself. I think that deserves some respect.

They wanted to have a tonne of armours to bloat out the microtransaction system in order to entice people to spend money to get that set of armour they -really- wanted instead of getting a warrior helm variant with a line on the right side instead of the left side
THIS is one of the huge problems with 343 and H5 in my opinion
they prioritised the req system in a shameless
attempt to milk the franchise over creating quality content
(I’m looking at you lack lustre 4 forged btb maps released 60 days after launch)

Yeah, your right, but then again, I never felt the arena play modes forced the reqs on us at all. And I haven’t spent any money on the reqs except for the HCS packs and I’m drowning in reqs. Like several items I have almost 300 of.
But honestly the BTB maps were not bad, and the remakes in BTB right now play amazing. Forge maps have been a thing since Halo 3. Halo Reach had a ton of them, with honestly far more forge maps in rotation then Halo 5 has. Hell about 8 of the maps in Halo Reach’s BTB are forge maps. It’s not a new thing.at all and was started by Bungie.
Plus honestly, I prefer the current system over what Halo 2 - 4 had.
How much would you spend on Halo map packs? $20? $40? $60? I know I spent close to a $100 on Halo 3 map packs for they forced you to buy them all over again in Halo 3: ODST.
And how many times did you get to play these DLC maps. Halo Reach, I barely got to ever play on them for no body really bought them. Halo 4, I only got to play to the DLC maps for when they had playlist focused on them. I literally had to find friends who had the map packs and we had to game the system just so we could get the achievements for the DLC maps for they showed up like 1 in 30 games of play in natural matchmaking.
Halo 3 basically made it so if you wanted to play ranked, you had to have the DLC maps.
Halo 5, this isn’t like that. Everything is available to use. You literally just need to play the game and you can unlock everything without spending a dime. The community for the 1st time since Halo CE isn’t split because of map packs. And people with more money then time can buy packs at their leasure. And it isn’t honestly thrust down your throat at all.
I even wrote a Halo waypoint article during launch on how easy and simple the whole req system is.

Except now the people which more money who bought the map packs are just buying req packs instead
I know the system doesn’t “force” you to use real money but that’s never been my primary problem with the req system
i believe that this games focus on warzone and the req system lead to least uninspired development of the rest of the game itself
I believe they spent so much time on those two things they -Yoink- everything else in the game,
thats the issue I have
i believe it leads to lazy development which has been demonstrated by the terrible and monotonous armour design by the uninspired forge maps in btb and arena maps for that matter (remixes) and has also lead to a huge chunk of the game being “delayed” and then given back to us as “free dlc”
thats my issue
first off ive seen this video on these forums multiple times and this post doesnt make it any different
second how do u know he did it easy?
and third i really wish we could have that reach level customization…it vexed me when the minimized the armor customizations

I don’t have the same feeling. Yeah I agree that 343I canned BTB because of Warzone. But after spending the no life amount of hours in this game. I honestly believe the #1 focus was in Arena. Everything from the controls, to weapon balance, to even the maps in arena show this.
The BTB shift to Warzone is the only thing I feel like agrees with your opinion.
And honestly the forge maps at 1st were bad. Mostly because it wasn’t fully fleshed out or understood. But look at forge now, it’s a high life of HAlO 5, with maps that are better then anything Bungie or 343I has ever made.
If 343I didn’t really care, they would do what any other company, including Bungie did, and do only real updates because they wanted money for map packs. And once the packs were over, support for the game would be close to zilch.
The one thing we have to give credit to that halo 5 has over any halo game is that it is constantly evolving each month for the better.
How long did it take for Halo Reach to finally be balanced with the CU update that you still can only play in select game modes. Almost a year, and it was mostly done by 343I Reach support team when Bungie threw them the keys to the car and was like, “we’re done here, we’ll be busy moving”
I know it sucks as this guy actually made customization for Halo 5 by himself.
There wouldn’t be as many different armors if each set had so many separate parts

I don’t know if it was easy to mod in, it’s just baffles me how one (or two) guy(s) manneged to do this simple coding that could only take maby 2-3 hours of work to implement properly (a couple more minutes just to double check)

Sorry. TU update. My phone auto corrected it to CUhttp://www.halopedia.org/Halo:_Reach_Title_Updates
They actually couldn’t have done this because the Xbox One isn’t powerful enough to load every individual piece of armor for every player in a lobby (especially Warzone) on top of all the other things it has to load.
