Make a list
-More space (forge world 2.0)
-Better object count
-Better textures
-Unlimited objects and budget are a no due to FPS
-Weather effects (idea from Inkripto)
-Far cry style map editor (idea from Inkripto)
-easier spawn and objective system to understand (idea from IEpic IMurph)
-in game forge guide (idea from IEpic IMurph)
-more ambient life (trees, rocks, etc.) (idea from IEpic IMurph)
-increased number of items you can put on a map (idea from IEpic IMurph)
-Adding operable doors (idea from Tyson94red)
weather effects or just a modified far cry 2 map editor
easier spawn and objective system to understand
in game forge guide
more ambient life (trees, rocks, etc.)
increased number of items you can put on a map
They should make it where there is an amount of different types of openeable doors and such.
Drop pod object. That way we don’t have to spend 15 minutes building one. Especially if we want multiple on a map…
This is asking to much but a PC editor would be cool
Also for fun, some kind of big life form that could be put on the maps (like a dinosaur)
it would be cool to be able to make maps where the objective is based off that life form.
Kill the Opposing Life form
or lead life form to objective
I don’t know but a PC editor would make me cry tears of joy
> -Better textures
From the looks of what we’ve seen so far in Halo 4, we might be getting better textures, but I wouldn’t hold your breath, the game is being designed to run off of the Xbox 360.
> -Unlimited objects and budget are a no due to FPS
Tho this would be nice, but unlimited wont happen for Halo 4, in the past it’s been Software and hardware that limited the amount of objects/budget, and as of right now, we do not know how the software is going to behave, but the one thing we do know is hardware will be a limiting factor.
> -Weather effects (idea from Inkripto)
Can be done, weather effects can be very simple.
> -Far cry style map editor (idea from Inkripto)
I much rather see a full blown map creation kit that’s based on the PC, than a Xbox based, FarCry style map editor, there is only so much you can do with that style of editor, where as the full blown map creation kit would be better suited for some epic pro looking maps.
> -easier spawn and objective system to understand (idea from IEpic IMurph)
> -in game forge guide (idea from IEpic IMurph)
these two kind of go hand in hand, it would be nice to have both an in game guide, and a sub forum devoted to tutorial videos/guides for forge, if the in game guide can’t help, it would be nice to have a forum to search with some logical sense, and not Halo 4 forum board’s madness that will most likely happen.
> -more ambient life (trees, rocks, etc.) (idea from IEpic IMurph)
This would be cool, I always hated the fact that we have rocks we can put down in forge mode, but not trees, some people whine about the lack of color in forge maps in reach, so I think it’d be nice if we could place trees and plant life down, to make things more colorful.
> -Adding operable doors (idea from Tyson94red)
I would love to see this happen, but it could be easier said than done.
- Copy and paste (which also means being able to click multiple objects at once)- Undo and redo buttons for obvious reasons
Reasonable and obtainable ideas.
A real map editor is realistic.

I would love to be able to program stuff and build maps with more accuracy(Mouse)
