Realistic for Spartans to repel?

Do you think it would be realistic for Spartans to repel in Halo 4? Or possible? It’s for something I’m writing. It seems a bit weird if you imagine it, sort of. What do you guys think?

You mean like, rope down from a Pelican or Falcon, or even just rope down from a high building? Idk.

Have to be a pretty hench rope…

actually in ghosts of onyx, i believe both spartan 2s and 3s rappelled down a forerunner structure.

you mean rebel?

Oh, maybe if they connected a really tough, almost metallic, rope (not sure what you’d call it) with something on the Spartans’ gauntlets and they repel from that. Then they detach themselves from the rope and BAM! There you go.

I can picture it for stealth operations.

No. I mean, repel down from a high building. Use a rope or something.

No, they have thrusters in their backs that can slow them down before landing.

As seen in the opening CGI.

They can just jump.

Spartan-II’s have been known to rappel.

Wow. My mistake, I noticed that I spelled rappel wrong. I usually get them mixed up with the other kind of word, repel.

Yeah, I know. But I don’t know if all Spartans have thrusters. Default Spartan IV’s.

Thanks. I just looked it up from the book, and it seems like they can. Ghosts of Onyx book.

Thanks everyone, but if you have a comment for more examples just to be sure. Would appreciate it, thanks again.

EDIT: Oh yeah, one more thing. Remember the map on Halo Reach called Highlands. There were rappelling towers and ropes on both sides. So that’s another thing.

They always had thrusters though they were for zero-g and were never implemented till now. Also I found the intro kinda odd since that feature was a highlight for the Mark VII armor. Plus if your’re in a stealth operation rappeling in makes more sense compared to blasting in with you thruster pack.

Not all Spartans hav thruster packs
In the book halo first strike a team of Spartans were forced to jump out a pelican and they didn’t have thruster packs they had to get onto a tree branch.

Thruster/jet pack kind of negates rappelling.

Also if a Spartan can enter the atmosphere and crash into the earth without damage…
