I want to throw an idea out there just to add to the thinking pool.
I spend a lot of time consuming mass amounts of information and observations. For everything it’s worth my OPINION of this game is that yeah it needs some tweaking in a few places. However, people need to realize that this game brought a lot of potential to the table and created an entirely new world. I can’t honestly say that I wanted another (and improved) version of Halo 3. I wanted something different and challenging. This game has been exactly that.
Now for the concept of how 343 did. Seriously take into account that you added a lot of different people into the creation process and that the gaming population has been horribly exposed to the CoD franchise. With that corruption (yes I mean exactly that) of a different style being spread through casual conversation to seeing it on commercials and adding celebrities to the mix. It was destined to worm it’s way in.
Being 100% loyal to the original over so many years and an entire handover is hard. We live with it and move on. All we need to do is come up with ideas and changes and put them on the table and let 343 learn the hard way if they do not listen, and for them they adopted way to many halo children to not be able to hear all of our voices.

Call of Duty isn’t that bad of a gaming franchise, but I do think that some of its concepts don’t mix all that well with Halo.
but they have not been and when they finally have it is to late.
I also beleive that halo reach was a failure we could see that with many different aspects the population of players its decline in MLG and others. Why would they want to coninue stuff from that game. I will agree that they did a much better job of the things that were in reach but i did not like it then and i don’t like it now. I want that competitive edge i want it to be an even playing field. why they bareley let both types of playing exist is beyond me. There are so many things they could do that would make this game beter in a day that they don’t. Team throwdown is it an although a good start that is all they have for it
Here’s a question…Have you ever been on their side of the gaming process? The idea of them being a business that doesn’t tell you where they stand in all of their projects and goals and how much resource they truly have is something a lot of the fan base can’t and won’t comprehend. I don’t expect them to share that info either.

I agree with the mixing. Sugar and salt are fine alone and when barely mixed. Together it has to be done exactly right for the majority of palettes to enjoy it.
CoD isn’t bad but isn’t for everyone ie. Me. Thus my comment. I don’t mean for anyone who reads this to take offense.

343i took something that was beloved by millions and turned it into a cash cow. Call of Duty use to be an amazing series before it became a cash cow. These things happen and we just have to find a new game they fills the whole Halo left.

Of course, there are studios like Valve who break that mold. I’m not sure if anyone remembers the Left 4 Dead 2 boycott, but it got huge…all over Valve making a new Left 4 Dead. Some of their concerns were valid, some were not. What does Valve do? Fly out the main backers of the protest to play the game. They got back home and told everyone, “Yeah, the game isn’t a crime against gaming after all.”
Now I’m not suggesting 343i fly out people to play Halo, but a bit more openness would be cool. And they have improved on this over the months and really, I can’t blame them for being quite with their “benevolent dictator” Microsoft holding them.

Haha. I completely agree. They may not have all the freedom they wish. I just want people to simply ponder on that for a few seconds. Maybe it’ll remove a tiny portion of the extreme negative comments. If someone wants to threaten leaving this game then they should just do it and let the rest of us work hard, play hard, and occasionally try hard.

People believed Valve had not done enough for Left 4 Dead yet, ie new Campaigns, weapons, tools to build custom levels, etc.
