So… for those of you that don’t know: President Donald Trump has signed into law that a 6th Military branch be formed.
It will be called The United States Space Force. Space Force Announcement
I’m not sure about you guys and gals but my first thought was: Yessssss, only a matter of time before the UNSC becomes a reality. My second thought was of course: What do they know that they have the need to make one? Hmmmm… So it’s a mixture of excitement and curiosity.
What’s your take on the real life version of UNSC?
I guess it’s a sort of acknowlegdement of human nature that we think we need to carry guns wherever we go, even into space. But I sure do wish we lived in a world where there was no need to militarize the moon. I mean, we used to have an international space station. I’m pretty sure we didn’t have armed Russians at one air lock and armed Americans at the other, so it makes me wonder just exactly where it is that we’re headed with all of this.
Let’s keep the discussion to Halo and not politics/real life current events please.
