Definition of a real Halo fan-Someone who is willing to accept the changes with new Halo games, enjoys the new additions to the story line, and can’t wait for the next game to come out. Not someone who wines that it is going to be similar to Call of Duty or thinks the studio with people who work on this game to keep themselves and there families alive should be shut down. I think it is a disgrace that someone says they should close the studio down which people spent hours of their time working on a game for the fans because your not getting a Halo 3.5. Half of the community sounds as bad as the Mass Effect 3 community.
Your definition sounds like that of a sheep. One who blindly accepts anything, and is very easy to get $60 out of.
Someone said it. Stubborn babies is mostly all that populate the Halo 4 forums.
I’m not going to sit here and get Reach 2.0 when I was promised something good.

And you sound like a “hipster” who thinks he knows what’s good for the series and the evolution of it’s gameplay. Get over yourself, you’ll buy the game anyways. Regardless of what you say right now.

Here we go…anymore more ranting? c’mon let it out

get punked by this guy^
That’s not the point. You’re shooting down the company for changes that may disappoint people but you’re still not giving it a chance. In seven months from now you’re probably going to own the game anyway.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I am sorry, I stopped taking the thread seriously before the first sentence was done.
That is not a fan, that sounds like a brownoser. If you don;t like something, don;t take it and say you like it.
i would think more like: ‘a person or individual who like halo’
After reading the title I was expecting 343 MUST REMAKE HALO 2 AND 3 OMG!!!
But I gave the thread a chance. I agree with you. If the changes are good, and the game’s still fun, I’ll buy it.

Sums it up nicely. A true fan is someone who cares about the product and will make the effort to try to inform the developer if they think something is not good. A true fan buys a game based on the quality of the game to reward the hard work of the developer, not because of the name on the game case.
No your definition is just following what the developers say blindly. Like Bungie with ODST they kept saying that ODST had the most compelling storyline they had ever created but almost all of the fans disagreed with that statement.
Watch out, there’s badass’ in this post.

so… follow/buy Halo games no matter what because you like them ?
so im one of these Halo fan. yup. ill buy Halo 4 even if everyone(lot) complains about it, i love it, story(campaign) can change, multiplayer get setting from what campaign need(sprint, AA, and everything else).
Definition of a real Halo fan: Someone who has regularly invests them self into the Halo Universe in some way, shape, or form.
Halo fans come in many forms, some do not like the new, others embrace it whole heartedly. Some a strictly campaigners, others forges, others LAN enthusiasts, and some multiplayer fanatics. And then there’s everything in between.
I for one an not sure how to feel about the changes yet, and while I disagree with the haters, no one has the right to call into question their fandom, just as they have no right to call into question someone else’s.
I find it funny the people who are raging are the people who THINK they know whats best for the game and think they know everything and are better then everyone else.
That’s the definition of a fanboy, not a true fan.

Yeah, and then it will be too late to change the gameplay. I hate it when people like you say that we have to try it first. Do you not understand how stupid that sounds?!
