So…where is my ready to start option? Im downloading the digital version, currently in 80%, and everytime I launch the game it says ‘‘You’re too early…check the store for the launch date…’’ Does this mean I’m downloading a fake file or what is going on?!
That’s the error message you get if you try to start a pre-ordered game.
Sounds like your console is glitching.
Try restarting the console.
Go to the settings app then system and select ‘restart now’
I did, as well as a hard reset and it never gave me a notification to play it early…don’t get me wrong I mean it is downloading but Im afraid that when it reaches 100% I still won’t be able to play it so it’ll be a waste of time…what else can I do?
You are using an account set to the country you are in? And in a country where Halo 5 is officially released?
Also which dashboard are you using. Are you in the xbox preview program and have the new NXOE dashboard?
If you are it’s essential to report the problem through the report a problem app and through the preview program forums on xbox.com
Whether you are in the preview program or not just wait for the download to finish and try again.
If it doesn’t work you may have to contact xbox support because it sounds like you are not getting the license to play the game
Yeah, all the settings are correct…what originally happened was that I bought the preorder version on the 26th a few houirs before release, I then paused the download on the 27th for the whole day. I just resumed the download today and well I dont have the fastest download speed so thats why im currently on 80%. Point is Im still dl the preorder version from the 26th so is this normal?
Ah ok that could be the cause.
Sounds like you still have the pre-order license on your console.
You could wait until it finishes downloading then try starting the game. Maybe if it’s finished downloading it will download the correct license when you try to play?
If that doesn’t work you may then have to restart the console and try again and if that fails uninstall then download again although I admit that wont be ideal if you don’t have a superfast connection.
Well I hope that’s the reason, thanks anyway. If it persists even after 100% Ill try restarting the console because at this dl speed I’ll probably start playing in the next 24hrs so I really don’t want to restart the dl lol
