Thank this post if you like where this is heading!!! I have much more too write, but i’m really tired. Sorry ;(

Those are some pretty good ideas for the armory.

I think that all of the armor in the game should be able to be unlocked from playing only Halo 4 because i’m sure this would cause a lot of frustration like if I wanted to wear full Mk. VI armor then I need to of have played Halo 2 vista or go out and buy it.

Halo Wars Legendary?! No, that game is impossible on legendary! The Arcadia evac level is hard enough on normal!

This.

> Halo Wars Legendary?! No, that game is impossible on legendary! The Arcadia evac level is hard enough on normal!

Even with a youtube tutorial it took me like 3 attempts to beat that level on legendary because of the covenant mega turret at the end that just trolls you.

not all achievements in halo history.

there are some on halo wars that are ridiculous (general and 100% completion)

Good start, but I’d like to see more. At the very least, all the armor options from both Halo 3 and Reach, then some of the other armors listed in the OP

A ridiculous idea. I hope 343 doesn’t listen to you. ‘Play Halo Wars’ should never come up in any achievement or armor unlock ever again. They need to bury that game and forget it ever existed, and to try and find a copy of Halo 2: Vista would be like trying to find the Incan city of gold and probably just as expensive. Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Halo: CEA.

  1. What’s with the hate on Halo Wars? It was amazing for a console RTS, and a pretty good Halo story, I though.

  2. Finding a copy of Halo 2 Vista is easy. Go to any Best Buy.

No offense, but I hope they completely ignore this thread. This is a horrible idea. No one wants to guy buy other games just for armor.

BTW, to anyone who says that Halo Wars legendary was hard, it actually was pretty easy. for the Arcadia mission, just defend either ship 1 or 3. Ship 2 is gonna die no matter what, and you only need 1 alive to beat the mission.

As long as the Security helmet is designed after the Halo 3 one and not the abomination that was the Reach one, I am fine with this idea.

> No offense, but I hope they completely ignore this thread. This is a horrible idea. No one wants to guy buy other games just for armor.

But people will do it anyway.

Anyway, what’s wrong with rewarding long time fans of the series?

Well it would be flawed just like the Halo Reach “visual flairs” where you need to own Halo CE for pc or Halo 2 vista just to confirm that you played the first two games which would exclude a large majority of the long time fans that have those games for the original Xbox.

Well, you didn’t need Halo 2 vista for the Reach visual flair, just to play a single game online, but anyway.

The difference is that the system in the OP is done through achievements, which would only exclude people who didn’t play, and only about 2 or three piece are based on the Halo PC and Vista titles.

I know it may only be on a couple of armory items but it would just be such an inconvenience if you wanted to rock a full set of armor that you like but you can’t just because you purchased halo ce/2 for xbox instead of the computer.

Well, think of things like it was a certain edition of a game. If you buy limited or Legendary editions of the Halo titles (or similar version of other games), these days, it’s common to give out extra in-game item to those who paid a little extra.

They should have all halo 3 armor. Whatever they can brgin from reach without people complaining its out of chronological sense. Then add some halo 4 armor then you got a maybe near twice the amount of reach if they make a descent amount oh halo 4 armor

But when that’s the case you are aware of it before the game launches and you can put down an extra 5 bucks or so to recieve the extra armor but with the Halo ce and 2 unlocks there was no way to know that that owning the games for pc would benifit you down the road so the people that end up getting it will be randomly decided by whether you chose to purchase them for pc or xbox years ago.So i’m just saying that imo I don’t like the randomness of how some long time fans would get the extras while others would not simply because of a decision made years ago.

We’re going have to leave this at as a “agree to disagree” situation, it seems.

So, let’s agree to disagree.
