Read This if You Are Worried About Chief Dying

I’ve seen a lot of people post about how they are concerned that John is going to die in Halo 5.

While we won’t know for absolute certain until we play the campaign for ourselves, I figured I would repost a recent article that strongly implies…

Master Chief isn’t going anywhere yet.

Well now people are concerned with the new development by Microsoft for the next decade of Halo and specifically Halo 6, because a lot of people know he won’t die in Halo 5. Problem is, this trailer just screwed it all up again along with the timing on it.

Anyone seriously thinking he died needs to re-think the plot of the trilogy I mean looking at the trailer as it is its easy to tell the whole world that your Favorite hero died rather than went AWOL, ONI just covering up before something might leaks out.

I’ve been re watching “A Hero Falls” trailer, and I find it very odd. His visor loses color (luminescence) as he “dies”, he was running towards a guardian coming out of Meridian.
But it’s known (from the E3 demo) that the Guardians & The Domain WANT Chief. Also that he can board the guardians.
Perhaps the guardians hold the life force (Essence) of different beings, destined to Guard the Galaxy as I said before. Maybe the one at Sunaion (E3 demo level) took someone else, and the one on Meridian (the one “Cortana”) tells him to go to, takes him.
He doesn’t die, but transcends to guardianship

Who knows, bunch of speculation. I found it weird his visor just…“turns off” thought an individual really couldn’t see that on the outside lol.

That reminds me of…

One of the endings to Mass Effect 3I am reasonably sure that it was said that they had long term plans for the Chief around the time of Halo 4’s development and launch, but I can’t find a source. Nor could I tell you how far into the future those plans go.

Exactly; Spartan II’s visors aren’t illuminated as S-IV’s are. So why would it dim?

Could be to just signify him “dying” or showing that his life force is being removed.

I’ve never played Mass Effect, but I’ve had the idea of certain individuals “transcending” into guardianship ever since the subtitle was revealed.
