I have been a competitive Halo player since the beginning. Playing in local tournaments and online since Halo Combat Evolved through xbox connect. I love Halo. I have never posted on a Halo forum before nor have I ever complained about my favorite game ever. I have a few things to say. Read if you’d like.
First and foremost, why are people defending 343 and Halo 4? What happened to competitive gaming? I see so many complaints on these forums about vehicles and Big Team Battle and other straight scrub topics. Have any of you played competitively? Flood? Team Action Sack? What the flying -Yoink- is this -Yoink-? Pardon my language, but holy hell… What happened to playing against players of equal skill level? The nail biting games where you slip ahead by one kill for the game? Or holding down a flag while trying to recover your own for the final cap? What happened to the skill?
This is the point of my post. Halo is supposed to take skill. We should be able to compete with players of equal caliber to facilitate nail biting gameplay. I have no problem with casuals and -Yoinking!- newbs. Whatever. Go play your flood or big team, but DO NOT put these mother -Yoinks!- against me in game… Spray and pray AR all day, running in a straight B-line towards my holding down the trigger with all their might… What the -Yoink-? Got to get that monthly 250 automatic kill whatever the -Yoink- it is. God I hate you.
Skill. That is all. Skill. Let me explain. The reason CoD and GoW and other -Yoink- tier FPS can get away with random matchmaking is that they take NO -Yoinking!- SKILL. When I learned about the CSR system coming into play, I was ecstatic. Then, when I realized it has no effect in game and, essentially, is just a number on a screen that I can jerk off to, I almost cried.
My apologies for being rude, but this is getting rediculous.
Saw another thread titled “A Sad Day” because more people were playing flood than slayer and ctf… I couldn’t agree more.
It would be cool for a Mod to respond to this thread, but if I somehow get banned for speaking my mind, you will lose a dedicated halo fan.

Those of us who want to have our fun playing the game the way we like to are not scrubs.
Very simply:
People who like Halo 4 defend Halo 4 and 343i. I am not belittling either side. People like what they like. And if you own a copy of this game you have an equal voice to anyone else who bought the game.
Some people bought Halo 4 for the campaign. Others enjoy MP. Others hate everything about the game.
It is all good.

You troll people all the time. I don’t find anything “civil” about that.
Most of that community is gone. They don’t even post here anymore. I know it’s rare for me to check in now. I check Bungie.net more often. Destiny Awaits!

I’ll be honest here. Game developers shouldnt only focus on the competitive side of things. It bugs me how they are only taking calls from the MLG players. Who cares what they have to say. Halo is meant to be fun. Not competitive. They can have those competitive playlists and gametypes, just dont mess with my fun. As soon as they start changing the “fun” gametypes and making them more competitive they loose players. If they want to know what the fans want then they should listen to both sides not just Brovo and his stupid MLG buddies. Im sorry but its true.

You are all right and wrong, Halo is meant to be a fan game which what the fans want is a fun and competitive game. It is meant to be a nail biting action packed laugh riot. In Halo 1,2 and 3 also reach and ODST me and my friends were like that. We did our best to beat each other in firefight and in multiplayer and had a great time doing it. NOw in 4 it is just sad and those who i know are diehard Halo fans are leaving the game.
My friend Dj was feeling hte smae way about Call of Duty he saw what i kept telling him it was hte samething over and over again. So after so long of trying to convice him that halo is hte way to go he played H4 and said it was COD with a little more health and vehicles.Now i am seeing what he is saying. None of the fans wanted this for Halo and it has become what we have never thought it would become and 343i and Microsoft are to blame. I have loved Halo since i first played it in 2002 at my neightbors house and from then on i have tried to learn everyhing about Halo. Now the only person i am interested in knowing is Jul "Mdama and now that i have seen that 343i is making him a -Yoink- by running away from fights as if he is so old timey cartoon badguy.
