Hello fellow Halo fans!
For the past couple hours I have been skimming and analyzing peoples posts about the new Halo 4 reveal ViDoc. Most you have already noticed that most of it is negative. In my opinion, most of it is all ignorance and rumors.
From the past ten years, I have stayed by Halo the whole time. Sure I had some times where I would take a break and try something new, but after awhile I would just miss Halo. Halo is defines the fps today. Just because they added new things in Reach didn’t mean that it wasn’t Halo. Just because there is sprint in Halo 4 doesn’t mean its “ruined” or “not Halo.”
After watching the trailer, I think the game looks fantastic, as of right now. They still have a lot of time to improve the graphics.
In the past reveals of prior Halo games, Bungie/343 implemented the main focus for that specific game. The only ability I saw was sprint. I didn’t see any jet packs, armor lock, evade, hologram, or invisibility. Sprint should’ve been put in in Halo 2! It’s a great feature the doesn’t hurt a bit of gameplay.
All in all, I really think this game is gonna sell. I love Halo. Chief looks like a bada**. Enough said. Please reply. I wanna hear from the rest of you.
I have to agree with you one hundred percent. WHat people didnt realise with the old halo games, is if they kept making the the exact same way we would get bored, and soon we wouldnt play. All i see around me is, halo 4 sucks. How can you say that about the game that defined what FPS are today? Whatever the game halo has become ive been supportive all the way. Did that neccesarrily make reach the best, no, does that mean it was the worst, no. It was new, its only problem being it all looked the same. I had no problem with armor abilities, i had no problem with weapons. I only had a problem with how the game actually felt, and that was due more to the fact that everything looked the same. I feel that, as long as the colors are nice and diverse and that the gameplay is solid and maps properly built, halo 4 cant go wrong. I dont know why people are com plaingin so profusely about a game that stuck with us for the past ten years. Its just sad really.
In halo 4 we need to be able to take off all the perks and sprint etc for a classic halo feel and for mlg. If we cant take this stuff out halo will probably die on mlg and I don’t want to see this happen.

Inginuity and adapdability are admarable traits. Learn to adapt to whetever the game throws at you, that is how one makes progress.
I probably won’t so much enjoy the new perk system, but as long as the AA’s in this game aren’t as drastically game changing as they were in Reach, I should be able to deal with it. I mean, who the yoink thought of armor lock? Give me a break. Straight up stooped!
I agree with you. I think that each Halo game gets better and better, and it’s because each game does new things. Just because there’s something new doesn’t mean that the game sucks or it’s not the game we once new, it just means that there’s something new to add to the Halo sandbox. if anything, I’m more disapointed in how it looks like they took out a lot of the newer gameplay features and took steps back instead of talking more forward, but I’m still sure that Halo 4 will play great!
The only complaint I have is the art style. Seriously, the BR looks like it’s straight out of Mass Effect, and so do the multiplayer character models (the Chief looked fine IMO). Honestly, someone could have told me that this was Mass Effect 3 TDM and I would have believed them without the prior knowledge that it’s Halo footage.
PS: love the username, fellow bostonian. For Boston!
I know what you mean, people are basing everything off of one Vidoc when they can’t even read the fine print. The Bnet forums are in uproar about it. I tried explaining but it seems that people aren’t listening to reason.

I have to agree with the weapons and multiplayer. It looks EXACTLY like NOVA2 from the apple app store.

Gamers listening to reason? They’re still arguing over witch gmae and console are better, let alon trying to make sense of the awesomness that is halo 4.
