Alright, I just finished the campaign and I loved it. So now I am playing on skirmish so I can test some units combos, strategies so I do not go into the multiplayer and get my -Yoink- ran over. And after playing one match I see a lot of problems.
- The Banished appear to be a lot stronger than their UNSC counterparts. (I could be wrong)
The Banished in great numbers appear to be harder to deal with, and in many cases the counter units are way too weak to deal with the type they were supposed to be able to take out with ease. In other words, balancing issues. - The Super Weapons (Close Air Support, Eradication) are too powerful and can be used way too often.
I made an army of a Condor and vultures and most of them got wiped out by one Eradication blast, only ONE! 10 minutes of building just got destroyed in a second. So I switched to a ground force…same issues…We need to make it to where the super weapons either cost a lot more than it is now or make it to where they can be used once every like 10-20 minutes or something. Because losing an entire army every 5 minutes is not fun. - The Banished Cloaking tech is too far overpowered.
I CANNOT HIT A BASE WITH DUMB CLOAKING TECH. JUST BECUASE YOU CAN NOT SEE IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT HIT IT!..Sorry I just hate it to where my army is getting shot by turrets that I can see and they cant because the base is cloaked, which is unfair because every time I bring a unit(s) that detects stealth it is the first to die in combat. SO WHAT DO I DO? There needs to be a way to allow our units to see once they are fired upon or some power that allows UNSC to detect stealth like a radar scan or something. Also what we could do is make it to where the cloaking helps protect the buildings because the players can not see which building is which therefore they cannot hit the parts of the base they wish to hit first. But something needs to be done with that issue
But I must also talk about what I did like because no one wants to hear just what they did wrong.
- I love the story.
You brought back the Spirit of Fire into the halo world and did so in way where I would love to see them interact with Chief and the others in Halo 6 or something because now you multiple options at your disposable. Make them count. - Art style
Unlike some people I liked the new approach to The Banished and even to the UNSC. All the units, animations and characters looked amazing. Good Job. - Combat.
Without the balancing issues I love the combat. The sounds, the sight of explosions and even when a grunt goes flying here and there. The controls over my army made very ease to crush my enemies. Well done. - The Missions
Even though I would have loved to see more missions in the campaign. The 12 missions that were there are great. You have everything from full frontal assaults, to saving prisoners to introducing other ways that made the missions more difficult and unique. I can not wait to replay them again.
You guys have done a great job, just a little more ways to go and it will be a great squeal to the original.
