Reach's fall damage was a great compromise...

343, The fall damage of Reach was a great compromise. Some of us wanted some kind of fall damage- others thought it was okay to fall 70ft. without any shielding or health and take off running, but get shot in the big toe with a pistol round and die a-la Halo2.
I think if you’re going to take advantage of high places, and if you’ve got the AA to fly and control a landing somewhat, you should have some kind of threat (yes, even if you’ve chosen a different AA)/fall damage.

Reach’s was a great compromise.

I wonder if Halo 4 will have different fall damage based on what loadout/armor setups you choose. Rather then a static fall damage system.

Fall Damage Negating Perk anyone?

I think if spartans can fall from orbit around a planet and live falling off a structure in a MM map shouldn’t hurt them.

Since multiplayer is going to actually be involved with the Halo Universe, fall damage wouldn’t make sense.

MJOLNIR Mk VI has a component within the suit that negates fall damage. Something about density changing gel layer…I just know some part does indeed negate fall damage.

The MJOLNIR MK V did not have this component. I don’t know about MJOLNIR MK V as seen in Reach. It may have had an early prototype of the component used in MK VI.
