Reach's end

Out of curiosity, do the dead Spartans on Lone Wolf belong to Gauntlet, Red and Echo fire teams?

havent really thought about that actually.

There isnt an easter egg or real tie in to the other spartans prior to the events of reach or throughout the campaign.
BUT reading the limited edition halsey book, she talks about training the spartans in a remote location that sounds and even looks similar to that of lone wolf.

My guess is that lone wolf actually stands on a former training ground of sorts ? and the elites just wiped them out.

But it wouldnt make much sense because then how the heck did noble 6 wind up there instantly from watching the pillar of autumn blast off.
I didnt see the layouts of the lone wolf area anywhere to be found whilst we were protecting the pillar prior to take off.

lots of speculation. honestly probably was just thrown in for scenery purposes and no one really thought about how they got there. or im an idiot and im wrong completely.

Interesting, Carter does mention that those teams were assigned to civilian evacuation, correct? I guess it wouldn’t make sense if they were at the shipyard on the package anyway. I guess the scenery point makes sense, it probably was just to get the message across. Thanks!

You will actually find Thirteen dead Spartans across the battlefield on the Lone Wolf mission! I don’t think they can actually be considered canon since their armor configuration except colors always change, then again so does Noble Six and he/she is part of it the storyline

I think it wasn’t given that much thought, and it wasn’t meant to impact canon. Just some atmosphere, The Fall of Reach is known for a high death toll among Spartans. But putting this together canonically would be tough, I’m pretty sure the deployment of Spartan-II’s to the surface (as in The Fall of Reach) and Noble Team’s adventures (as in Halo: Reach) are not happening at the same time. Also, how did Noble 6 get from the shipyard to wherever ‘Lone Wolf’ takes place? What is so important in that desert that 13 Spartan-II’s were deployed there and died? Also, I’m pretty sure that if you look at the list of Spartan-II’s, there no room for an additional 13. I mean, most of the 33 Spartan-II’s that survived augmentation are known by name and fate already. They are already jumping through hoops to make sense of the Spartan-II counts, no way they’d decide to casually introduce another 13 that died at Reach, just for a bit of scenery.

I recommend this video by halo canon on the topic

Thanks for all the info guys!

Thanks, always wondered who and why those spartans were there. always Remember Reach.
