Reach's Cov Weapons Should Have Returned In Halo 4

343i decided to bring back the original versions of Covenant weapons such as the Carbine and Beam Rifle. Reach’s versions of the Covenant weapons were altered to be more unique and be less of Covenant equivalents of human weapons. Do you think 343i should have brought back Reach’s Covenant weapons for Halo 4 to make them different from their human counterparts? They brought back the Concussion Riflle, but not everything else. Reach’s Cov weapons were fun to use. The Plasma Repeater could have been brought back and altered to be more different from the Plasma Rifle. It did have differences in Reach. When overheated it slows the rate of fire, you could cool it down yourself with the reload button, it was a bit stronger, and the gun does more damage to your health than shields. It was still a two handed Plasma Rifle thought. What do you think?

Think you negate the fact that most of the initial convenant that we meet up with during Halo 4 were of older and more rebellious based descent. So there weapons including their armour were a lot worn. Causing them to probably neglect their more modern based covenant theme we all know so well.

Besides that it could have been a more directive approach for us to focus more on the forerunner weaponry and design style that Halo 4 took that not many people ended up agreeing with in the end. Plus if you think about it Halo 4 despite it being one of the last Halo games made with Xbox 360 in mind still was a huge graphic rework and overhaul in comparison to the previous game of Reach. SO that could have also been the reason elites and other covenant based units had been given a more rugged look to accommodate for the graphic detail the developers possessed.
