Anyone else have Reach as what made them fall in love with the Halo franchise?
The first proper introduction I actually had to the Halo franchise was Halo 3. I played it for months, nonstop but never really got into the story because I was some pissy, little teenager who didn’t want to go back to some “outdated” game to catch up. Obviously, when Reach came out, I was excited, solely for the online experience, being sort of a casual gamer at the time, but being a prequel, I gave the campaign a whirl. I was blown away. To this day I’m amazed by how hauntingly beautiful the ending is. From the beginning you know what’s going to happen to Noble team but you go along with the journey anyways and let yourself experience the blissful sadness of their story. After that I went back and played Halo CE and the rest and have never looked back.
And of course, the online experience was one of the best in my opinion. It really laid down the foundation for what the Halo series is today. Some of my favorite memories are kicking trash with the DMR in SWAT.
I loved reach. It was the greatest.
It was a great game, original halo is favorite still
Why i love reach is cause you can rank up in campaign and in multiplayer also in firefight which makes it better because it help’s with those didn’t get to have Double XP or be in the beta
Reach is just amazing all around,it is also my first love.
~Remember in Reach
The time I spent in Reach ranks among some of the best memories. Also, I borrowed my sister in law’s 360 last year to play online for a solid month. Now I’m making the switch from Sony to Xbox 1. It’s gonna cost, but I already know it’s worth it!
