REACH WAS LAME, BUT IT HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL

Most members of this forum, or even Halo fans in general have bashed Reach and Bungie’s abomination of a “swan song”. Of course, some people don’t see the game this way, but most people do. Despite the let down of Reach, Reach had something very special. Something very unique that I am thrilled that 343i brought over and made BETTER.

The engine itself.

Everyone (at least 99.99999… % of everyone) has admired the beautiful graphics of Halo 4 from the screenshots. Halo 4’s engine is a heavily modified version of Reach’s. So, while we continuously bash Reach and Bungie for their detrimental impact on the Halo franchise, we must thank Bungie for making a robust enough engine for the next game.

I love every detail of reach ESPECIALLY the graphics.

Yeah, the engine was remarkable, considering the huge environments it could produce without significantly sacrificing graphical fidelity. Now, add that to advanced lighting and shaders, and we’re looking at one of the top, if not the top, looking games of this generation headed our way coming winter.

Corrinne Yu is the female version of Carmack, so that’s a huge plus.

wht i love the most was the beautiful roar of the warthog’s engine
