reach should stay as it is

halo reach should stay as it is now without the beta if you don’t like it thats not bungie’s/343’s problem you just go play another game
sword block, could stay give you more change at surviving
armor lock, you just wait by him at a safe range when he pops out of armor lock his shields aren’t regenerating again so you could kill him easily or just toss a granade
bloom can stay this way at least would be a bit anoying if you could just shoot 4 enemy’s down if you miss a few times then others have the time to react makes the game a bit more dynamic
conclusion everything should stay as it is you can wait for halo 4 or anniversary or maybe play halo 3do not listen to whiners!just don’t complain anymore please

Uh…no:

*The sword is supposed to be a power weapon. Why would you be able to block a plasma sword with your fist and survive?
*Armor lock is a get-out-of-jail free card that give’s the user’s friends a chance to kill his/her attacker, not to mention that it disrupts the whole flow of the game.
*I never felt too strongly about bloom before playing the TU beta, but 85% bloom just plays so much better. It gives you control over your shot, but checks the power of precision weapons.

That’s just my two cents. But if you want to make a point about the title update, you should at least have grammar good enough to pass the 2nd grade.

Reach should not stay as it is. Its killing Halo. At least a few fixes can improve its life span.

I suggest paying attention in English class more often OP. Yes i know, it’s boring but you’ll be amazed how you can learn to type correctly and coherently. It really does help out your argument and give people less of a headache OP.

If Reach stays the way it is, it will no longer be relevant with the big name shooters coming out. BF 3 this months, follwed by a crap load releases in November (which includes Modern Warfare 3 and Skyrim).

343 realizes this and in order for Reach to make through the holiday season (and beyond), the Beta Hopper results will form the final TU settings and when CE:A comes out, it will give this game a much needed shot in the arm.

Is Reach going to die? No, it never was in danger of dying or reaching zero population. That doesn’t mean the default settings are good, no. The TU will improve aspects of the game as whole, the default settings are trash. Otherwise we wouldn’t have the TU or the Beta Hoppers in the first place.

I loved this section from one of the Halo:Bulletins:

"We’re excited to bring a more classic Halo experience to those of you pining for that CE feel, and we’re also excited that some of you plan on continuing to enjoy Reach in its current flavor. It’s all about the choices, people. To paraphrase one of my favorite rappers, “You got 99 options, and a glitch ain’t one.”-Emphasis mine

Why would you want to deny other people a choice?? I am all for choices.

Wait, does that mean that the changes of the TITLE update will not be universally adapted? Because I really would like to have these changes to Reach without having to deal with the overpowered CE magnum or being forced to play the original versions of the remake rather than the altered one.

From my understanding they are going to divide some of these changes up into various playlists. It is not a one size fits all deal. There is plenty yet to be worked out. I would suggest leaving detailed feedback in the appropriate threads so that 343 has a better grasp on what the community wants.

You ditch the bleedthrough and give me everything else including 85% Bloom, Armorlock tweeks, sword improvements (Cloak never really bothered me…so few people used it well) and I think you find a pretty happy medium. IMO.

I liked Reach more than any other Halo, and the 85% bloom adjustments fix a lot of the problems that gun experienced. But I can’t say I had a great deal of problems with the other features and kind of wonder why they’re being changed.

Bleed through makes close-quarters combat much more fluid. I remember in Halo 3 how I could just unload on somebody with the AR and finish him with my fist. In Halo: Reach, where there was no bleed through, I’d have to pummel him twice after unloading on him, which breaks up the pace of the game. That, in my opinion, is why bleed through is needed, because Halo is supposed to reward an aggressive advance towards the enemy.
