So this morning, I tried to do some daily challenges in Halo: Reach to complete this week’s weekly challenge, however when I opened up the matchmaking tab the game said that the Reach servers are currently down. I also noticed that although in the armoury my SPARTAN looked as he normally did, but when I went to the side tab that shows your active friends, it was stuck on all-black default armour, and nothing I did could change this. Other problems I encountered included not being able to access my service record. I tried relaunching the game and even hard-restarting my Xbox One, but nothing has fixed this. Could someone please give me information as to what is happening, whether this is server-side issue that I have to wait out, or if it’s something wrong on my end.

I’m having this exact issue on actual Xbox 360 hardware as well. This does frequently happen, but it never lasts this long.
In short? It’s a server issue.
Same here!
It seems like everything’s starting to get glitchy. It’s still a really popular game. So I don’t understand what’s going on.
I can still see that my friends are playing, just not in matchmaking.
I really hope they do some sort of update or a remaster. Halo reach by far is my favourite but with everything going around lately including this recent server issue, they even stated that it’s old software and different coding that isnt suitable for future tech. I’m honestly getting really concerned they will shut down reach servers real soon. They need some sort of reboot. Making their own “updated” copy of reach
