This is really unfair to us… the game already will likely be shut down unless there is a last minute change of heart which we are all hoping…but no the little time I have to play this week it’s not working… please fix this issue

I am off this weekend and now my only time to play is being interrupted by complacency… seriously getting upset, and my friend is putting together a potential lawsuit for unfair loss of service if they do take the game down… lot of people paid lots of money, and still don’t have Xbox 1 and in these pandemic hard times can’t afford it… action will be taken if the right thing is not done
Hopefully it’s get fixed soon, the weekend is gonna be when most people want to play most likely.

Yea man it’s rest unfair and unkind to the community. My friend is a lawyer and he is plotting up a potential lawsuit if the services are truly discontinued. There is a strong case to be made

I am in the same boat! I wanted to play each night this week and still no dice. I can’t believe I bought Xbox live Gold for this again…

I know man so unfair, they gotta extend the playtime. Cant shut it down, honestly unfair to the community and now this where we can’t even play
It is just like they don´t care to maintain the servers anymore. I mean if you plan to shut it down by december, at least keep it running properly for the remaining time.
Im sure there are costs and people required to fix things which are probably mostly focused on infinite pre-launch. So I understand the issues they are facing, but by extending the december cut off I think many would appreciate it. The problem is I bet we are small in number compared to the populations on other titles. We need more people to talk about this to show theres interest.

You’re going to file a lawsuit against a company because they decide to shut down their own game servers or because they have been down for a few days? Get real.
It’s unfortunate that services for older games have been so up and down recently, but this is the exact reason that support for them is ultimately ending. After 14 years of Halo 3 being live and over 10 years of Halo Reach, the justification of time and resources needed to keep things operational an maintained just isn’t there. Population is basically nothing and the teams have newer projects and systems that they need staff to be focusing on.
Threatening lawsuits over this is, if I’m being brutally honest, petty and won’t get you anywhere. There is not a strong case to be made - notice was given a year in advance, if you think there is then best of luck going up against Microsoft Legal.
