When I got on this morning I found the Reach server was/is still down. Any idea what is happening and when the server will be up and running again?
I’m not online but if this is a presenting issue, it may be another routine server maintenance, if not… Then I do not know. I hope the server’s become online soon.

It’s the same for Halo 3 as well. Halo 4 is fine.
Then this issue isn’t out of the ordinary. Last month at around this time (20th-30th), Halo 3 and Reach were flooded with these problems, everyone had black, no service tag, default armor and Matchmaking was unavailable. I have a few pictures pertaining to this. Finds out it was the Xbox servers in general and a server maintenance if I’m correct. HALO 4 was also unaffected.

Never had that issue last month, but know people who did, at the same time I was on the game.

Odd. Many if not everyone that I knew and was in a custom game with was affected, good to see that you weren’t. Hopefully the problems are similar so that they could be dealt with simply and effectively.

I quit playing a few minutes ago and the servers are still down. Can’t load my service record or launch matchmaking. Hope this isn’t permanent. I just got the game.
I’m not surprised one bit… being a long time halo fan and player. I’ve been playing Halo since the original Xbox console came out on it’s launch day in 2001… I was 22 years old back then. I am now 36… and sadly being accustomed to Xbox Halo related disappointment.
Over the years I have played in spurts… sometimes I would play a game for hours on end, day after day… and then I would go days or weeks without touching a controller. From Halo 1 aka Combat Evolved… to Halo 2, 3,Reach, Halo 4, the Master Chief Collection… etc… form 3 consoles to the PC game for Combat Evolved, to the beta for Halo 5… I have been there… proudly supporting my favorite series of games… Halo Games…
But lately… being now that I am getting older, and having not as much time to pick up the controller… when I do… it’s not uncommon to be met with disappointment… going out at midnight to buy The Master Chief Collection was a complete catastrophe… was never able to play that game on launch day… a several hour update made the trek to the game store a worthless venture… followed by days of bugs and my console locking up, not letting me get past the “Galaxy Screen.”. Wasting more hours calling technical support, getting hung up on because the online support rep was unprofessional and lacking knowledge… more disappointment… minutes turn into hours, then days of wasting time…
After the worst of it, as the Master Chief Collection was a complete disaster… here I am 7 months later or so… I decide to pick up a controller to play Reach on my 360… expected to be able to load up the console, pop in the disc, and play… and what do you know… I can’t!!!
Load up the game and the message that shows on the screen…
The REACH SERVERS are not available. Please TRY AGAIN LATER!!!
SERIOUSLY??? What the frag man. It is always something… always something messed up. Seems like the games never work anymore.
I haven’t touched this game or the system in a while… and yet again … FAIL… utter Fail.
Makes me want to take the advice of all my friends and just buy a PS4. You know how many times I hear people say that? Maybe they’re right.

I feel your pain. The servers are back up for me now, but they were out for almost 4 hours, like really?
Lol I was playing when this happened last night. Some of us lost our Service Tag mid game which made callouts fun to follow and when we finished the game and went back to the lobby we were all recruit again.

This happened to me to but this has hit me for about 4 to 6 months now and it is only on halo reach though but it can happen when i’m in game or when I load the game and I am about ready to call ether bungie or 343 industries, whichever owns reach. If anybody knows how to fix it please put it in the forums.
