How is this possible? If they are truly taking it down December why is it they dont fix it now? Stats dont upload, information not retrieved, players lag out of made games? Do the right thing for the people or give us our money back?
Upload and update it
I lost my job due to Covid, i cannot afford xbox 1 and new setup, so enjoy what has been paid for already, and they will greedily take that from us? We are paying customers nad this is flat out not right… Please either update and fix it all or give people back their money.

Why would they refund you money on a game that is eleven years old? That’s like me saying Nintendo should refund me on my Pokémon Red version because the battery no longer works after twenty years. If it was 2010 and Halo: Reach was released yesterday, I could understand your frustration but as it stands it doesn’t make sense.
Servers go down for maintenance, that’s how it is. It may be happening more frequently because they are nearing the end of their life. And please don’t use Covid-19 as an excuse for you not having an Xbox One console. It was released in 2013, a good seven years before the pandemic. 343i can hardly be blamed for your decision to remain with what was then the previous generation.

Its totally different and your analogy is flawed, battery dying or breaking is one thing, they are choosing not to fix it… My xbox 360 works fine, my controller works, it is not an issue on my end, it is hundreds of dollars paid for services and it is on their end to fix it ? Why would that be the fan and community responsibility, it is truly unjustified and wrong if they shut it down., rather just fix it
I’ve also been unable to join matchmaking all weekend but I can’t help but notice there was 200-400 total players and near 30+ players in Team Slayer?!? Could be a false positive but the number fluctuates throughout the day so it’s getting these numbers from somewhere. I just want to play once this weekend jeeeeez

The point of the analogy was that something released so long ago isn’t refundable. The money that is used to keep those servers running can be invested in better things, especially when there are maybe two-thousand players at max at any given time across the three games. 343i wants to put all resources to the future of Halo and for that to happen they have to let go of the past. The servers would have gone down eventually either by themselves or when the Xbox 360 version of Xbox LIVE eventually shuts down.
I don’t get it just 3 days ago I was playing with no problems then when I got back on it says couldn’t retrieve information from Xbox live but there’s still people playing i don’t get it I just wanted to play this and enjoy all the memories I had as a child a couple more times

Yea I have always wondered how those number are calculated. Does it mean players in game, Players searching, Players in lobby with the playlist selected, or what? At first I didn’t know what was going on and wasn’t sure if it was just my profile not connecting. Such a shame to miss a full weekend, I hope they are back up as soon as possible

There are way more than 2,000 players on all games included… Remember Thats at any 1 given moment, so considering that there are in the 10s of thousands at least who all paid for these systems and services and still enjoy them. Ofc its greedy to not fix or update it.

Same! I don’t understand it at all. Why do they let their fans and supporters go unfulfilled it is odd

I buy all your games.
Reach Multiplayer is my only one the best.
Thank you very much in advance.

I’ve been trying to get Firefight Matchmaking challenges the last few days (it’s my go-to game mode). Between Friday when the game seemed to stop working and this morning around 9AM US Eastern, sometimes it’d say there were between 20 and 50 players in Firefight with well over 200 online, sometimes it would say there was just one player in FF, which I assume was… well, me. So I think it’s just however many people currently have Firefight as their chosen lobby whether they’re actively playing games, finding games, or just sitting in the FF Matchmaking lobby. Which was about all I could do since “Information is not available from the servers at this time” or whatever the issue is. Most agitating, I’m trying to push from Colonel to Brigadier and I’d have been halfway+ through COL Gr1 by now if the game was working.
