Ok so whenever I am connected to Xbox Live and try to go to my armory or challenges. My screen freezes for like a solid minute, but if I disconnect from Xbox Live, everything is alright again, no freezing, no nothing, can someone help me fix this.
This is happening to everyone. Including me. I dunno whats wrong.
Sounds like a server side issue.
Seems to be happening to me as well. Whenever I go searching in matchmaking, it happens. It also takes a while to load DLC.
The Xbox Live service was experiencing some issues regarding loading DLC content but should be resolved at this time–is this a problem any of you are still seeing?

I can’t play multiplayer because the halo reach server is unavailable.
Can you walk us through the exact steps you receive this messaging so we can try to replicate it on our end?
I would me more than happy to help you with this.
After signing into Xbox Live, and entering the game, you would first see that your spartan character is set to how newest players look when they first join the game (black default armor with the “private” rank emblem). However, when you go into the Armory you can see that you still have your rank and your armor is still set.
If you try to go into matchmaking, you are hit with a message above the Matchmaking options saying “There is a problem with the Halo:Reach server, please try again later.”
When you join a custom game, you can see that everyone else is set to the default armor and recruit emblem.
In a nutshell:
- Signing into Xbox Live works normally
- After logging into Halo Reach, you first see your spartan character is set to the recruit rank and armor. However, by pressing the START button and looking through the armory, you can see your original spartan armor.
- You cannot play matchmaking because the server is down.
- Joining custom games is functional, but all players in that game are recruits.

It’s back to normal now Thanks!
Awesome, glad to hear it!

Has this resolved now for you as well or are you still experiencing trouble?
This has been resolved on my end as well.
Thank you for still caring about a game that isn’t your creation.
