This morning Halo: Reach finally broke it’s 120,000 unique players at a time cap. Around 134,000 players online.

For those who don’t know, for the last few months Reach’s population barely scraped 120,000, and I see this too be a nice change of pace.

I’ve yet to see how far the population goes though. Since Halo: Anniversary is a new Halo Game and all the old popular Halo Maps are being Re-Made, I can expect the Population of Halo: Reach only to Sky-Rocket…

Maybe. The population has already dropped back down to 60,000, and 134,000 is still no where close to the 500,000 it had when the rank cap was lifted, or the 1,000,000 at release.

It’s nice to see more people playing Halo, but I doubt we’ll see the numbers we saw during the release anytime soon. CE:A will probably spike it a little more, but I don’t see it breaking 500,000…
Anyways, it’s a nice glimmer of hope!

I think its because their is more FPS out on the market for a gamer to select from.
what time? It’s already down to 70K.

The reason Reach has smaller numbers are for a number of reasons, based on criticism and competition. Saying “Reach isn’t as good as other titles” is your opinion, it’s not true nor false.

I still play it because of the Title Update, and because of the upcoming Halo: Anniversary. If you take the majority of intelligent, informed, mature opinions into account (I’m not saying yours isn’t), Halo: Reach is the worst Halo game yet (not including Halo Wars, but that’s mostly because FPS and RTS don’t mix). Halo 3 had plenty of competition, but Halo: Reach is behind Modern Warfare 2. That’s sad. Either the Halo franchise is getting stale, or Halo: Reach is terrible.

Your opinions blind your ability to understand.
I don’t have time to argue about whether or not Reach is a “good” game or why. Just keep going about your business. If you like Halo, then play it. If you don’t, then don’t. Don’t say its a “terrible” game, then continue to support playing it.
Unintended contradictions to make an argument always make me laugh.
I have a feeling that with the new settings in effect, the population can only go higher. We have the old settings for the veteran hardcores, and the new settings for the newcomers. I think that either the most beloved, or the most hated feature will either be the removal of sticky shed from AL, or turning the pistol into a power weapon.
