Reach Offline Credits: How Do I Appeal to 343i?

Hi guys,

New to the forum here-- please bear with me.

I heard recently that the online Reach servers are going down. I’m not upset or angry about this, I knew it was gonna happen eventually, and at some point it doesn’t make any sense for them to keep it up. Since they’re still permitting offline play after this, it seems that we’ll still be able to maintain our ranks and our armor, and in particular continue ranking up and unlocking armor. (At least I hope this is true.)

It’s been a big dream to one day get to inheritor. The bad news is that right now I’m only an Eclipse and there’s no way I’m making it all the way to inheritor before December 2021. The really bad news is that Halo Reach online play famously does not allow the player to obtain any decent number of credits, no matter how much you bust your -Yoink- or even “boost.”

Basically my question is this: is there any way I can contact 343 industries and ask them to adjust the credits received algorithm so that after the online servers are off for halo reach, players can earn lots of credits even from offline play? I know this is a pretty long shot-- they have no reason to care at all about me, and at best the servers are only a few hundred people on there at a time nowadays. I doubt anyone else even cares about what I’m talking about or even views it as a problem anymore. But I’m really desperate and I figured I should try to ask them directly since I don’t really have anything to lose. On the 343 industries website, there’s not really any way to contact them it seems. Does anyone have any advice/help for how I might go about trying to make this kind of appeal?

Any and all help would be appreciated. Sorry-- I know this is a really long shot.

I highly doubt 343 will do anything about the credit system. But if you still want to “Reach” the max rank, the best way to earn lots of credits is to play grifball. All you have to do is let the game go on as long as possible and you get a lot of credits depending on your rank. However be prepared to spend like 3+ hours for like 60 days or more. Because you only earn 200,000 credits per day. So overall you still have plenty of time left.

You will definitely have long road ahead when attempting to reach Inheritor if you aren’t able to get it done before the matchmaking servers shut down. If you wish to get it done before December 1st, then you will need at least 65,000 cR per day (a lot of cR).

However, if you wish to reach the final rank on with the Offline cR, then you need to dedicate the following amount of time AFKing 10 minute sessions of the game.

Total number of 10 minute play sessions: 33850
Total active playtime required: 235 days

Here is a breakdown for each rank based on your current rank situation. The numbers has been rounded upwards to the nearest day or 50 10 minute play sessions.

  • up to Mythic: 2300 sessions / 16 days - up to Noble: 6200 sessions / 43 days - up to Eclipse: 10150 sessions / 71 days - up to Nova: 16200 sessions / 113 days - up to Forerunner: 20550 sessions / 143 days - up to Reclaimer: 27500 sessions / 191 days - up to Inheritor: 33850 sessions / 235 days
