Sorry, My son was on here. Hes gay
Where is this 100k players coming from? I only ever see 15k when I get on. Also h3 still has people playing it and it’s even older. Support isn’t coming to outdated games when 343 is still working on h5 and have begun work on h6 while preparing halo wars 2 for launch, their plate is full.
Update reach please, tu v7 for all playlists and updated maps with faster weapon respawn timers for tier1 and 2 weapons
The reason why the tu wasn’t added to all play lists was for retaining what the game was before the “balance changes.” Also the weapon spawn times are slower because of the slower pace the game has compared to h4 and several other shooters. Not only is the studio busy on other projects, but keeping the tu off of the classic playlists is important for retaining what the game was originally. Also armor lock was broken before tu. That’s just Halo Reach.
Yea retaining a broken game damaged it in the long run, when literally every other game that makes balance changes and tweaks they permanently update the game . You don’t see assinns creed having a no face infinite death story mode option , or Microsoft leaving available buggy , slowed and delayed xbox UIs from the past . No they don’t because in something broken, there always a way to take advantage and the updates are usually for the best for the products sake, so what’s the double standard with reach? Bloom breaks SHOOTING wich is the purpose of an fps.

The game itself is not broken, tweaks were made to competitive play to comform to mlg standards. What “broke it over time” was simply time itself and the way the industry works, which isn’t referenced by the player count on the servers at any given time. ZBS was a playlist they tested after the first TU and it didn’t take off because the majority of the community didn’t want it, hence why it didn’t become the staple. This has simply stuck since dev time on a 5 (coming on 6) year old game doesn’t make sense if it isn’t where the money is. Reach doesn’t need gameplay updated with balance changes, as the gameplay fits it’s identity. Reach isn’t your typical run and gun, it’s slower than your average shooter nowadays. Bloom hasn’t broken shooting, as it was used in mlg and has since carried all the way to h5. Yes, updates via playlists would help but 343 just can’t afford to do it with h5 and h6.
TL;DR: Reach isn’t broken, Bloom isn’t broken, this game is old. Don’t expect updates.
The majority of reach players are casual and thus wouldn’t know the differences so why would they attempt tu slayer? That’s why it didn’t take off, I’m disappointed that as a fan you are looking After the interests of the devs? You’re a fan right, we shouldn’t expect tu for older games but when it’s so obviously necessary it should be done, as the caretakers of halo 343 should take care of the halo games, it wouldn’t take any time away from h5 or h6 to implement tuv7 to reach because it already exists they just need to make it happen . If a mechanic that that impedes a games genre itself, halo being a shooter and bloom affecting accuracy then you clearly don’t understand what balance is suppose to be, everything being equal and fair on scale, on the scale of 22 people shooting one another without outside factors bloom isn’t that. Why do you even care about a game that you don’t play? Why tell the remaining pop that they shouldn’t get TUs had it been implemented 6months ago you wouldn’t even had noticed and wouldn’t have had effected your experience in h5 so don’t come here and force people who don’t want to play h5 to also be content with playing a lesser version of halo reach. Be fan of halo not 343, they may never tu the older halos and the have there reasons , probably financial in nature but don’t stand up for why one fan can’t ask for for the sake of 343

As a fan, yes I would love to see reach to come back as it used to be. I can’t count how many hours I sank into this game when I was younger and I intend on spend much more. However, in my time playing this game I have never seen bloom as a balance issue. Now yes, there are many aspects of this game that needed balancing hence the tu, however taking away pre tu would be taking away from what reach was from the start. Most people play this casually, and for me more nostalgia than anything (and one of the few games I do well in >.>) but to say bloom is unbalanced is, in my opinion, false, having cited my years of experience as well as the mlg rules that do not utilize zb. From the start zb was unpopular amongst most players, and I think a lot of the decision to keep playlists with it in was a good choice.
It could do with another backwards compatibility update to deal with the framerate; it’s better than it was, but could still be A LOT better.

I was just about to say this.
I would second that, the framerate in firefight can get… awkward sometimes
I really… don’t think it has over 100k players…

Recently I haven’t seen it above about 10k, but I’m in Germany atm, tends to climb later into the night.

H4 and h5 have bloom? I know h4 had flinch but I don’t recall a bloom to its weapons and I play h5 religiously and I for sure don’t notice any bloom on that game.
and yes, reach is so old 343 will not see a need to update the game, there’s absolutely nothing for them to gain doing so and they’ll see it more beneficial putting time in the newer projects, I still don’t see why anyone thinks 343 “needs” to update anything pre- mcc. H4 and reach are done, at best you’d just get playlist updates and that’s all, if they do them. what’s left of reaches pop are hardcore fans, 343 would possibly update were it to get more players and sales but as I said, there’s nothing for them to gain right now as reach has already past its peak.
100,000? That’s a completel lie. Reach’s daily peak population is around 10,000. Currently has 3726 on right now.

Nah, peaks at around 25k most nights I’m on. In terms of individual daily users I would estimate around 50K.
Maybe 343 can make an Halo Reach Anniversary. I would honestly play it more than Halo 5.
