Late last night, I finished the Halo: Reach campaign, in its entirety, on Legendary difficulty without dying, restarting, or reverting in under three hours. I live-streamed this on YouTube, and was interested in what people thought of this kind of thing.
Here’s the link if you’d like to watch some or all of it: Halo: Reach Legendary Full-Game Single-Segment Completion | No Deaths/Reverts/Restarts - YouTube
I put timestamps for each level in the description.
Please let me know if you’d be interested in taking on this type of challenge. I’d really like for more folks whom enjoy playing the campaign in a competitive (or insane) fashion to take it on themselves. It’s brutal, no doubt…but it can be done.
The rules:
- You have to complete all missions, Winter Contingency through Pillar of Autumn, in order and in one sitting (i.e., going to get water or going to the bathroom is, of course, allowed).
- You cannot die at all.
- You cannot revert to checkpoint for any reason.
- You cannot restart a level for any reason (unless you are restarting the entire run, beginning at Winter Contingency, of course).
- You cannot use gameplay-altering skulls (Iron is allowed, although it ruins no-reset runs, which are invaluable for preparation).
- You cannot use mods of any kind.
If you wish to display your excellence in some fashion and be believable, you probably should live-stream your performance. However, if you cannot, capturing the entire thing, then immediately going to TEMPORARY FILES to show the date and time for each level’s completion before you stop recording, should be sufficient.
Love to hear from the community about this, and see other folks give this thing a whirl.
