So. I just sold my Xbox One.
I am not much of a limited edition type of guy, but I have ALWAYS wanted the Reach limited Xbox 360 console.
I strongly am considering getting it soon!
I just am really worried about when the server will be shut down… this will tear me up. I really don’t know if I should get it.
has there been ANY announcements whatsoever, regarding Reach’s servers getting shut down?

None that I know of. Here’s the thing though. Halo 3 is way less popular these days than Reach. It’s also an older game. There has been no word of any shutdown of online services for that game.
Additionally, Gears of War, another Xbox exclusive, is not as popular as Halo. However, the first game still has its online servers up and running. That game is a year older than Halo 3.
Based on all that, I think it’s safe to say that, logically speaking, Reach’s online services should be good to go at the very least until they say something about shutting off Halo 3’s.
As most of the older Halo games just became backwards compatible at the end of last year, servers won’t be turned off for a while yet

I was going to say, it’ll be at LEAST a few more years before that’s even considered. You should be fine to grab the limited edition 360 and play for a while yet
Same here. I will be extremely sad once the servers get shut down, but get to inheritor while you still can! I play the crap out of this game to this very day. It’s definitely seen better days though. That being said. If we can get people to start playing again, especially if 343 gives it the good ol’ 60fps 1080p, I could see this game being at it’s peak again one day. Just like it was in 2010. Moral of the story, play it while you still have the chance! You’ll kick yourself if you don’t.

Honestly, you don’t have anything to worry about. I really think it’ll be a couple of years before we hear anything about them shutting down those servers.

Be patient and look in other places. eBay, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Facebook BST Groups, Craigslist, and the “LetItGo” App. I’m sure there are more than a few floating around. You could always check your local game stores as well

I had the chance to get a limited edition, but it was really expensive. I just got an as good as new Xbox 360 E version.
I am really happy with it (never had a later version than the Xbox360 Elite).
It was cheap… like 30 euros cheap…
compared to the 180 euros limited edition 
Happy to play some Reach again!
