With the exception of the pilot helmet why the hell does 343 just keep doing this? With the grenade launcher and anti air wraith they at least had an excuse cause the assets were actually unfinished but this is just pure laziness.

343 confirmed that the new helmets will not be implemented in the req system. They haven’t said exactly how, might be earned through achievements or something. We’ll have to wait and see. I don’t see why they would lie about it.

to be perfectly honest I don’t completely remember. Might have been stated on /r/Halo, or it was on twitter somewhere. But I know for sure that they did say the new armors are not in the req system.
They probably want to bundle it with some cooler stuff.

Man don’t even start. What done is done, and you saying stuff like that will only get on peoples nerves, since it has been said over and over for over a year now… it just gets so damn tiring hearing that phrase all the time.

While I agree that this update is awesome, it is kind of wrong that they’re deliberately holding back finished content like that. If it was unfinished that’s fine, but since it’s already in the game’s files and being used as a gimmick to try to bring back players it’s kinda messed up. Especially since every update is technically used to promote req sales so…

It’s possible. But since this update is coming out next month and HW2 is in February I don’t know if that would work out. We’d have to essentially wait another month to unlock some of the helmets. I do really like the idea of unlocking H5 armor through achievements in HW2 though.
