Reach has become Halo 2 and thats a bad thing

I stopped playing Reach months ago do to the quitting and the betraying that has become rampant in Reach. It was the thing that made me quit Halo 2 and even Halo 3. Now it has gotten horrible in Reach.

I blame Bungie for not making the penalty stronger.

Unless 343 makes a stiff…and i’m talking a fricking stiff penalty for quitting out of games and/or betraying, Halo 4 will go the way of the other Halos. It’s the main reason I don’t play.

I don’t mind loosing. I’ll loose 10 games in a row if it was fair and -Yoinks!- on my own team aren’t trying to kill me, or quitting the first sign that we “might” loose.

HELP ME WANT TO PLAY YOUR GAME 343!

Wrong forum

So this is in the Universe forums because why exactly?

Wrong forum but to answer you. There will be join-in-progress in Halo 4 keeping the teams fair.

Who have you been playing with? Besides, some of the funnest moments are betraying friends in custom games.

I don’t understand why they don’t just take the Leave Game button out. Gears of War did that.

AFKrs, betrayers, and quitters mostly flock to the new Halo. I’m not saying Halo 3 doesn’t have any, but their presence is there is low. I guarantee you a month after the release f Halo 4, Reach will be without mass amounts of them.

I’m not convinced you even played halo 2 if you think reach is anything like it. H2 was all about custom games because MM had modders. so yea u should compare reach to something else.

quitters don’t bother me as much as all the afk teammates I get match after match. I swear almost every match I played last night outside of the classic playlist at least 1 teamate was afk OR went afk halfway through the match.

I mean seriously. Why go afk in a match if you know you can’t finish it? Credits mean crap in a propulsive ranking system game. Just don’t play lol

You’re mistaken sir.

Halo 2 was a good game.

Signing out and back in takes 10 seconds, it wouldn’t change a thing. I quit all the time but I mostly play Rumble Pit. Most team base games I’ll stay in (heavies excluded) unless half my team quits first then I’m not going to waste my time staying.

Rumble Pit: I cannot stand AR starts and 9/10 I’ll quit until I find a DMR start game, simple as that…not to mention bungie/343 has done nothing to update the maps in the playlist other than remove cliffhanger which I thought played well for FFA. It’s the same countdown/swordbase 90% of the time which gets very old.

Once Halo 4 is released Reach won’t have a population so it doesn’t really matter.

I would say Halo 2 was one of the most balanced games out of the two if you played online but mods and hacks were used after you reach passed level 30. Other then that it was one of the best Halo MP’s I’ve ever plead.

Reach is NOTHING like Halo 2.

Meh, let them quit, more kills for me. Now if it was a tryhard team of 6 or 8…

Halo 2 had modders in matchmaking. Halo 3 had de-rankers.

reach has bloom.

but for the most part if Halo Reach was like Halo 2 then it would be a damn fine game. Halo 2 multiplayer was legendary.

Play FFA - no one to blame but yourself

Even taking into account all the network manipulation that went on in Halo 2 it was a more enjoyable game online than Reach.

I play Halo 2 Vista more often than Halo 3.

If people betray you enough, you can boot them. Don’t betray back, as that will hurt you.

If people quit, they’re only hurting themselves by corrupting their reputations and credibility with forfeit and a ten-minute ban (if they do it long enough).
