Reach > Halo 4 Why? Pt. 1 - Fireworks

For so long it has plagued me as to why I liked the look of Reach’s death animations and just spartans in general. And after extensive (well, like 2 minutes) review of both h4 and reach death footage I think I have figured out why Reach’s look so much better. The reason is…

Fireworks

Yes, that’s right fireworks. Or at least that is what I am calling them. And oddly enough, halo 4 is the one that has them, and I hate it for it.

What I mean by all of this, is for some reason 343 decided to add fireworks to the death of every spartan. On top of the shield’s popping and the beautiful backflip animation, they added these annoying bright pink and purple sparks. PINK AND PURPLE SPARKS!!! Why!!!

All it does it just cover your view of the puddle of death that your hands just created. It removes the satisfaction of humiliating your opponent with a miniature sweet 16 rich girl birthday party. How am I supposed to enjoy ripping my opponents head off when all 343 did was bedazzle the crap out of every death?

Rant over.

I prefer Halo: Reach’s death animations but only for the reason of when you got shot in the head with a sniper, you knew about it.
