Reach Grenade Launcher in H5?

I loved the grenade launcher in halo reach and i also enjoyed the 2 different functions it provided. A player who had perfect timing and knew how to bounce it could be a beast with it. I liked that it had a learning curve to it and i hope it comes back for h5 or h6.

I also really liked how useful it was on vehicles. It wasnt OP but could help you a lot if you knew how to use it.

Would any of you guys like to see the GL back in h5 or h6? Are you fine with the Plasma caster filling that GL spot but mixed with the plasma launcher?

I would love this in Halo 5 but if they didn’t include it, I wouldn’t be bothered, especially with Halo: Reach coming into backwards compatibility mode (I hope) on Xbox One. I used to pick banshees out of the sky with the EMP mode, so much fun!

I think the plasma caster should be cool but i dont think it works the same. Its mainly the plasma launcher mixed with the grenade launcher. Like its mainly to stick larger targets like vehicles. It also is like a area control weapon to destroy whatever is near the contact radius like the incin cannon.

No, but the the sticky factor should make up for it.

I’m sure it will but we only have a handful of EMP weapons in the entire game. Plasma pistol, power drain, pro pipe, EMP mines (H2A customs/forge), EMP towers, and armor lock (which should NEVER return). I think the pro pipe in a future Halo game would be a welcome return.

Considering how much weaker vehicles have gotten since Halo 3, I think that the EMP numbers should diminish a bit, we dont need them as much as we used to.

This, the more diversity the better. I understand it wouldn’t be easy to implement all those weapons into the game tho.

I’d drop the railgun for the pro pipe in an instant. The GL was just such a well designed and balanced weapon its a shame it has been left behind thus far.

I touched on this a little bit in my thread “Persistent Halo Content” in General Discussion, and the general consensus on here is that they should just keep making new weapons and not bring back ones from old games. I personally disagree and I would love to see the Grenade Launcher again.

I loved everything about the grenade launcher, on Reach I would pvp maps where 2 people are in a mongoose or a warthog and the passenger has a grenade launcher and they try to knock each other off of the race track.

They replaced the grenade launcher in halo 4 with the sticky detonator. That will probably be the case here again. unless the plasma caster is replacing the sticky det in halo 5
