Reach Forge Ideas...

I’ve been forging a fair bit recently but I’m running low on ideas… Has anyone got any possible ideas for Maps/Gametypes that I could have a crack at making??

an asymmetrical map consisting of two or more joined symmetrical areas

A BTB map that features a large racetrack like path around the map for vehicles with large pillars/bases in the middle for infantry

A natural map (using mainly rocks/scenery) that utilizes the cave that connects the beach to the blood gulch area

Just some ideas I had but never been able to flesh out

I like the big team battle idea, might give that a go!

I mused over an odd thought a long time ago. I tried to manifest it, but I could not find a way to make it work.

What if there was a multi team objective mode, with two symmetrical maps that are self contained, with two teams on one, and two teams on the other. The battles never intersect.

So a team not only has to worry about the team their facing, it is also a race to score faster than the teams on the other map.

That would promote some pretty fast placed game play I reckon, would you be able to do CTF with more than two teams?

Of course, you just have to put down the objective forge items in the right places and label it the right team color.

Oh, just plain Slayer could work also.

If you’d really want to get ambitious you could make a 3 v 3 map, and a 6 v 6 map. The maps would definitely need to be similar, but the 6 v 6 map could just be double sized. Slayer wouldn’t work obviously because of player differences, but objective could work just the same.

It would be cool if these two seperate battles were constructed so you could see parts of each battle from either side too, using glass etc etc.

That would be cool, but if one or another (or both) maps depended heavily on Forgeworld pieces, the texture of glass overlaying forgeworld pieces with battle raging on them, it could probably cause lag when looking out there.

Likewise, if there was to be a view of one map from the other, you’d need to take into consideration the possibility of a trickster jetpacking up to a high point on the map and sniping people on the other map.

All these IF’S and AND’S and things to take into consideration stopped my project on this way before it took good shape.

Hmmm… I might have to make it as quite a tight enclosed map…

Maybe a collasium, or I wish there was a gametype for this, a game where the only weapons available were the plasma rifle and plasma repeater. Make melee do no damage, just all automatic plasma weapons. This would be optimal on small maps like zealot.

No real gametype idea for this, but…

Set armor ability as bomb plant point, have player spawn on said ability.

Hilarity would ensue.

I wish there was an option to go suicidal with 2 plasma grenades like the grunts do.

a map based off halo wars could also work. base for unsc and covenent vehical bays air pads barracks . could work . im working on a unsc base atm add me:RoyaL qRazahhh

I think a remake of the Forerunner structure on Instillation 04 would make a fantastic map. King of the Hill would play a treat!

Unless I have a glitch this forum looks inactive but I was bored so I searched ideas then an idea popped in my head… What if you did a kind of scavenger hunt map where people have to go around and either find hidden armor abilities or have to solve a puzzle or use another armor ability to get them (like you have to find a jet pack to get evade and you have to have evade to get sprint and u have to have sprint to get another copy of jet pack etc.)… Then when they have collected everything they use them to get to some goal like climb a tower. I also picture a trampoline and a zipline. I also have a good submarine map, pirate ship, human vs. covenant map, battleship map, shark attack (infection where ther are thin boardwalks and columns with an underwater zombie, all enclosed and with purple effect), a Pizza Hut, hospital, and castle.
