Reach for the sky

Why is it that I have to buy reach again just to play it on my mcc this is total bs

Wait you have to buy it again? I didn’t know that.

Yeah that’s what I’m getting out of what I’m reading

Yes and no. The multiplayer component is added as a free update to the MCC. But, unfortunately, you do have to pay for the campaign:

> For existing owners of MCC on Xbox One, the Halo: Reach Campaign, along with Firefight, will be available as a premium add-on ($9.99USD). The multiplayer components of Halo: Reach – including PVP modes, Forge, and Theater – will be automatically included as part of the base content offering of MCC at no additional cost via a game update.

Do you have Game Pass? Campaign and Firefight are free for Game Pass members.

Owning the 360 version doesn’t entitle you to a free copy of the remaster. Just like any other game, but unlike every other game they aren’t charging $40-60 for it. They are only charging $10.

Going by your logic, because I played all of the Halo games before Halo: The Master Chief Collection, I should get the game for free.

Nah

Work was put in to make sure that Reach was upgraded with better graphics and textures, matchmaking capability, in addition to development of the customization. It won’t be given away for free because people do need to be paid for the work they did.

Why did you buy the MCC at all? We all bought these games at one point or another. Or any remake/remaster? Just have them spend time, resources, and development making these and hand them out for free all willy nilly. That’s a smart business model if I’ve ever heard of one.

-Yoink-, I thought I was going to get both the MP and the campaign for free since I have the MCC on Xbox. Well, at least it’s just 10 dollars.

The pricing has been announced for quite a long time. People don’t work for free, so you shouldn’t expect things that required work to be free. If you want to play the 360 version of reach it still exists and you have that option.
