It’s been years since I got an achievement in Halo Reach, and I only need 5 more to perfect the game. Now here’s the problem, they say “Anniversary” or “Defiant”, meaning that you need to play on those DLC maps, cause ya know, when 343 took over, they decided to take out the DLC that they made for the game. 343 realy has done nothing but let the fans down. Anyone know a way to get these achievements without the maps, even though I have all the DLC.
I bought one of the DLC. And I got no maps or anything back from buying it. It’s crap.
i really want to know the answer to this too i have the dlc and kind of want those sweet achievements is it impossible for me to get them?
I don’t think it’s possible.
The DLC maps are still in rotation in the normal playlists (Rumble Pit has the Anniversary maps Solitary, Penance, Battle Canyon & High Noon for instance), however the separate DLC playlists were taken down. So technically speaking the DLC achievements are still obtainable. The DLC maps will only show up if you enter matchmaking with a group of players who have all the necessary DLC packs installed. If one player in the party or match doesn’t have the necessary DLC installed the maps will simply not show up.
I suggest to find some players on forums like Waypoint/Trueachievements/Xboxachievements who also need the DLC achievements and organize a boosting session, because it’s nearly impossible to find a group of players who have all DLC via matchmaking. 
Count me in for any DLC achievement hunts. I’m still missing Paper Beats Rock & You Blew It Up. Getting matched with the necessary maps or gametypes has been virtually impossible for years now though. Breaks my heart. I wish either 343 would do something to add back in a DLC playlist or anything else whatsoever to allow us to unlock these nigh unachieveable achievements.
All I need is “You Blew It Up!” I had a LAN party and we had 3 Xboxs and 3 Halo Reach discs at the place we were at, we went into Multiplayer in the same lobby (4 people per TV) and we Achievement Hunted together. We couldn’t get “You Blew It Up!” because the Invasion playlist has a limit of 2 per Console. =( I need 5 more people to help with “You Blew It Up!”

I think there was a glitch after the defiant dlc where you could do the achievements in customs but it was patched right away. Other than that one mishap if the achievement states in must be in Online MP it must be in Online MP

The first 3 defiant achievements (Return to Sender, Crackin’ Skulls, Candy from a Baby) are obtainable in custom games with a glitch if I remember correctly. The other DLC achievements can only be obtained in matchmaking.
I still need the Emergency Room achievement, so count me in for achievement boosting. I have 4 controllers, my GT is the same as my waypoint name
only way is to get the maps
I have all the achievements, but if you needa hand and/or want to do some custom games on those maps, you can count me in.

We would each lock in with a guest. That makes 3 players + 3 guests which means we need another 2 players or 1 player + 1 guest.

There is only one problem. We live in Germany and time difference is 10 hours: Germany (12:00 pm) - USA, New York (02:00am).

I just got a Noble achievement and I don’t have any dlc…I’m not sure why I got it

Think there was a glitch with at least one achievement that needn’t to be done on a dlc map.
