Does anybody know if the Reach credit cap is still in place? I know it used to be 200,000 was wondering if it changed
I have heard nothing about it being removed. I’m pretty certain it’s still in place.

Nope pretty sure the 200k limit is still in place. No increase or decrease or removal.
The cap is still 200k.
Though they should have removed it years ago.

I wonder why it was put there in the first place

Probably to prevent players from reaching the max rank quickly or it was Bungie’s way of saying “Alright you’ve played enough of Halo Reach today come back tomorrow”.
Def still there, I hit it like a week ago.
But not to worry! It’s still possible to reach Inheritor (from scratch) before the servers shut down, since it only takes 100 days to hit 20,000,000.

That makes me feel somewhat better. I reached rank Legend and that that the name was title was too perfect to pass, ever since maxing H4 and am on my way to 152 I have come to fear that I will regret not maxing reach out.
I likely wouldn’t even be able to return until the summer, but I’m already about a quarter of the aay there so a couple months of grinding doesn’t sound impossible. I forget how difficult is it to hit the daily max of 200k? like how many matches/hours does that equate to?

The best way to grind, sad as it is, is to load up Grifball and then sit around and wait for the timer to run down. As you hit higher Ranks, you get Credits faster, but once you hit Hero onwards, you start to get ~13,000 or more if the whole 17:30 runs through. You lose the Performance Bonus if someone on the other team decides to score and win, though. At Mythic, I can get around 16,000.
Challenges, especially “Kill a few people” type Challenges, can boost your Credits a bit, but not an awful lot. Spawnkilling can get you a good amount, too, but it is quite rude.

Yea grind tactics are never the most glamourous, but hey I’ll work with what we got. Still, very helpful info thanks for passing it on!
The daily credit limit of 200,000 cR in Halo Reach do definitely exist. However, I would view it as a relatively time consuming task to reach the daily credit limit. I have only managed to reach credit cap in few occasions due to a glitch related to the challenge system.

What was that glitch if I may ask?

The glitch was that daily and weekly challenges did reset when you restarted the game. This meant that you could complete the same challenge more than once.

Oh dang that would be useful. I’m guessing that glitch was patched or is that an exploit I can still take advantage of?
