Reach Crashes Internet

Hey guys, I recently bought Reach off of Steam. I played a few games with my buddies yesterday. After the few firsts matches, my internet completely shut down/reset. My router has never ever done this. Each time I went back online with my friends, after the first or second match, my internet would shut down again. It was down for over an hour the last time. I just went to bed semi-frustrated.

Today, I come online and play some multiplayer by myself. After the first two matches, boom, internet shuts down again. Happened twice again today.

I’m positive it’s due to Reach - my internet was fine the whole day yesterday and today until I got on matchmaking on Reach. My router has never done this before. Some people reported that this has happened to them too on Reddit, but no one knows what causes it or how to fix it. Does anyone have this issue too, and if so, does anyone have a fix? Thanks!

P.S: Here’s some things I noticed:

  • Firefight causes this issue for me too, but not when I’m playing by myself. - Multiplayer campaign didn’t trigger my router to shut down/reset. - I cannot get past more than four games in matchmaking before my router shuts down/resets. - Except for the Reddit post I found online, no one else I asked has this problem (ISP related maybe?). - The longest it was shut down was yesterday, it shut down for more than an hour before I went to bed. I noticed today that turning off the router doesn’t seem to work - it’ll say I’m connected but have no internet access. Randomly, I’ll regain internet access. The fastest time it recovered was about ten minutes.

There’s already a post about this, it seems a few people have this problem.

Oh, my apologies! I didn’t see it. Thank you!
