Reach controls feel different?

So I after picking up a live gold card so I can play reach with some friends, I noticed something that felt off to me. By no means am I good, I may even be considered a bit below average (hoping to become better) but during multiplayer games I felt like every time I tried to move my gun, aim, or follow a target my controls felt like I was moving through jello.
I could not get shots off like I could in the mcc controls even when my sensitivity was at 8, it was like driving with no power steering.
After a few round in mcc multiplayer, where I was reminded how bad I’m at multiplayer games, I felt like the controls responded to my input and I could line up shots. Still didn’t get kills but that’s a skill problem for me.

so my overall question is, is this sluggishness of controls normal and something I just forgot about, a skill problem I have, or is it that I need to go to 10 on sensitivity to get the responsiveness I like.

I just want to improve so I can play with my friends when the pc version comes out, but there is a lot I need to learn, even down to basic control sensitivity and when to scope or not scope.

I will end my post with something I learned recently. I shouldn’t leave a mcc game early to go walk the dog. Sure it was a ban for about 3 mins but something I never expected😅
Anyways hope to encounter you guys in multiplayer.

When comparing controls and sensitivities to the new games on XB1 it’s difficult. On XB1 we have so many custom options to personally cater to our preferences. The original games and Reach don’t have that (obviously), so I’m sure it feels way different than what you remember. I have to adjust my controls like crazy when switching from MCC to Reach or any other original game.

And yes, the banhammer strikes quickly and swiftly!!!

Thanks!
I changed the sensitivity to 10 and I’m getting better results.
While my accuracy is not great still, I’m slowly being able to get kills when playing with friends now. Though now it’s my 5 kills compared too their 30, it’s still better than the none I used to get when I first started playing with them.
