Reach Classic MP

Let’s not lie to ourselves. CEA’s Classic Playlist will be anything but classic or a revival of the competitive aspect of Halo. Terrible players will still get lucky kills with random grenades and stuff like that. It will play exactly like Reach and it will feel exactly like Reach. Even if we are getting bloomless, no AA’s and fast movement gameplay it will still be crapReach. I played Beaver Creek before on gamescom and after that I wanted to wait with my judgement because I just hated it absolutely. I just wanted to share my opinion on the MP part of CEA (I actually really like the look and feel of the campaign) and don’t take this as offense or something, it’s just how I right now think about that.

Last I checked. Random grenade kills happened ALOT in Halo CE. So I don’t see what your point is.

The beauty of Halo is that while a bad player can get a lucky grenade kill here or there. You are going to kill him 5 times as often because you are better. Which in the end is all that matters. It’s not just bloomless.

They actually have built a CE pistol that is going into Classic that we haven’t played with yet. 3 shot kill, same rate of fire and accuracy, same ability to hold the trigger but lose accuracy, or feather it and keep firing relatively straight.

Well what they show case at events is just Reach settings, Dont think they have let anyone actually try the 3sk gametype yet.

The CEA pistol is a lie. That thing has still spread and often my shots just don’t count.

Those are still Reach settings though. It will play like garbage that way. Think you are setting your expectations a little to high imo

lol that’s the exact thing i posted in my OP. I said that Classic Reach will still play and feel like Reach and not like CE.

I don’t think anyone is expecting it to “feel like CE” when its using the Reach engine. Of course its going to feel like Reach. Its not a bad engine, its the other things like bloom and Armor abilities that bring reach down for some people.

The classic playlist wont have AA, Faster movement, Higher Jump. It may not be Halo 1, but its better than nothing imo.

That’s the point. It is definitely BETTER than nothing but it isn’t good enough for me. I’ll get anyway frustrated with Reach and that’s the reason I don’t see myself buying CEA.

It seems to me you just have your standards set way to high for it. Reach lowered mine to an all time low, So I am actually pretty excited to play the Classic playlist, (a true classic playlist)

There is always CE custom edition for PC for you.

I just don’t understand why Bungie tried to make with Reach a totaly different game…

exactly! I don’t mind the reach enginge. Its actually pretty smooth. its just the armour abilities that bring down the game play. I stopped playing Halo reach for the longest time because I was just so frustrated with the aa’s and the shoemakers that would kill me or get some type of luck from using them when I was clearly outplaying them. When they brought back a classic playlist I was all over Halo again. Then they took it away…again. That’s weak balls…just plain weak balls

Man I really hate me for coming back to reach every day even that I know that I get frustrated in it that fast hahaha, just like you. I still have some faith for the new “classic” playlist in CEA. I even know that I’ll most likely pre order CEA in some weeks even if I’m right now saying that I won’t buy it :/.
