Alright 343, I have some SERIOUS beef atm. I don’t actually expect a response but I wanted to voice my problem.
I don’t know if anyone else is having this problem but for me to enjoy the vast arsenal of Halo maps I need to switch between Reach and CEA discs WHILE in matchmaking. Of course, this isn’t Mass Effect with a seamless inter-disc transition, so it’s a Yoink!.
Essentially, anniversary maps are available via Anniversary, everything else via Reach.
What I did. I uninstalled Reach. Installed Anniversary and downloaded map pack simultaneously. The problem then happens here.
I then uninstalled Anniversary and ALL map packs. Halo gone!
I installed Reach, then downloaded the anniversary map pack. Here is where I am at now and I’m still receiving this same problem.
Someone please help me! Ultimately I CAN play everything I own Halo, but I detest this disc switch.

okay so you’ve tried DL’ing the maps from CEA using the code, right? and then putting in the Reach disc and you’re not able to play the Anniversary maps using said disc, right?
and you’ve deleted everything and reinstalled with no dice.
have you tried clearing your 360’s cache then reinstalling everything?
Part of the problem is that you shouldn’t have initially uninstalled Reach. If you had Reach installed, all you needed to do was download the the maps. When you pop in the HCEA disk for the first time, it should prompt you to enter your code and download the map pack for use in Reach.
If I had to guess, I think the key may have been that first uninstall you did. You can play the Anniversary maps from Reach provided you install the maps. You can’t however play the old maps from the new Anniversary disk.
It sounds like you tried to undo this by reinstalling Reach and reinstalling CEA after, but it hasn’t worked. I would reinstall Reach, fire it up and redownload all the updates. Then do the same for HCEA. They reason I say this is because there were some updates that were crucial for prepping Reach for use with HCEA. It may be that you’re missing those updates. Just a guess.
If all else fails, clear you cache and repeat the above steps.
