Major Nelson and the Xbox Wire posted the new list of backwards compatible games for the Xbox One. Halo Reach was added today, but Halo Wars still wasn’t added. I mostly play Halo 5, but I would like to have Halo Wars backwards compatible to play some real time RTS on the Xbox One sometimes. It was a lot of fun. They keep teasing it for backwards compatibility but never do it.
It’ll happen eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later. I mean, they already announced Halo Wars 2, so it’s a given.
Only they said that it would release in December when they first released the 2nd list…

Anyway, they’ll probably add it, since it’s probably not going to be remastered/re-released by 343i.

I would be surprised if it is unlocked for backwards compatable play or is actually added in to HW2 as either a BWC game or a remake for dlc only.

Halowars is confirmed as of today, that its to be released in the coming months. (It was in the list with others) point is. It is confirmed and it can be any day/week/month.

When the games are finished to be compatible with backwards compatibility, then they are being released. Whether that takes a few days, weeks or months, it will be released when it is ready.

The issue is that it was originally announced for a December B/C release date, but now there is no info on why or even a potential length on a new release date.
If this happens, it will probably be around the time frame that Halo Wars 2 comes out

Why would they do that it would just split the community
Hopefully they actually take there time bringing HaloWars over. The fps on Reach is terrible at times.
