So there is a lot of talk going on whether or not their should or shouldn’t be DMR starts. I’d like to share my opinion and say that taking away dmr starts would be a horrible decision. I understand the complaints that the dmr is too powerful, and it makes vehicles virtually useless but that’s simply just the way it has to be. You got a giant map, most people pick jet pack so you have to walk at about -2 mph to try and peck people across the map with the literal worst magnum in halo history. “But there is dmrs on the map” okay but what’s going to stop the enemy from shooting me with there dmr while I go get the one off the floor? You thought spawn killing was bad with dmr starts? Just wait till you play against a high level team and all 8 players have a dmr and everytime you spawn in you literally cannot do a single thing…yea it’s gonna happen, at least with dmr starts you can somewhat combat it. The only way putting dmr starts in the game would be reasonable is if 343 brought back VOTING, which everyone has been asking for since day 1, then you could vote on whatever map, and you could vote on either regular slayer or dmr slayer. Other than that changing it from the way it is now would ultimately ruin btb for the majority of the community. Now that opinion is through I’d like to address some other things that have been bugging me.
why are ridgeline, breakneck and tempest still weighted way higher than hemmorage, wayont, delta facility, spire, boneyard. The community has complained and complained and complained about these over played bs dlc maps, please for the love of god just let us play the OG maps.
343 took out paradisio for a map like brick…no one wanted that, people comaplined about it. Nothing was done. What the hell happened to paradisio??? That map is iconic, take out tempest or ridgeline instead, no one wants them.
Ive said it and many people agree, the game dosent feel like halo reach, it feels like halo reach dlc map packs and thats it, no matter the playlist you’re in. You play btb you are force fed tempest, you play slayer or swat, anchor 9 is thrown in your face again and again, you play hardcore you get the iconic “beaver creek simulator”. Please, there has been complaint after complaint about this, from just the average joe like myself to the top halo content creators. We have sat through the DLC reach since launch now, please give us what we wanted when it dropped…OG reach.
