Re-used ship model in Halo 4 terminals?

Could someone clear this up for me.

It appears to me that the ship models used for human and forerunner ships bar the Mantle’s Approach are all the same models seen in the concept art below.

Did 343 re-use the models from terminal 1 so they wouldn’t have to create separate models for forerunner ships to save money?

Also would the visuals be canon? Would that mean that forerunners and flood used human ships during the war in canon or is their nothing canon about the visual look of the human and forerunner vessels and it’s jiust re-using model assets.

It was probably to save time, though humans and Forerunners were on an almost-balanced footing anyway, so ship designs were bound to be similar, if not downright identical. Regardless, Sequence is responsible for the models. (actually, if I remember correctly, Halo 4’s terminals are 2D digital drawings. The Fall of Reach animated series was Sequence’s first 3D product.)

That’s what I thought. I wondered if anyone noticed this and what they thought of it. I was having an argument on Halo Reddit with a user who is convinced that the models being same for both factions is an indication that in canon that the Forerunners and Flood used Ancient human ships in their fleets during the Forerunner-Flood war but I disputed this as simply the models being re-used as a means to save money.
