Re-establishing after post game Multi-Player

How can I let them know they have this all wrong!!!

This is a quote from this post on what they updated on 12-3-2014.

(“Made an update to the high-level matchmaking flow that will reset lobbies after each match. Moving forward, players and party leaders need to press “B” after the post-game-carnage report, and select a playlist for their next match. This flow is consistent with previous Halo titles”)

Um. No. This is not consistent flow with previous Halo titles. Not even Halo 2. In Halo 2 our party would return intact to the searching screen of the same said playlist we were just in. The party leader or session host could press B and bring party if he wanted to pick a new playlist. Then I think beginning with Halo 3. We would still stay in the same playlist just like Halo 2, only they added the ability to continue playing with the same people you were just matched with.

The players and party leaders moving forward needing to press B after the post carnage report and then select a new playlist has never been the flow. Unless the party wanted to lets say go from SWAT to Team Slayer. Other wise we press B to leave post carnage and just wait to get re-populated. I really don’t think I am wrong here, and believe this is what is screwing it up.

Last night I had a party and we did what they said. Well it sort of worked. Most of us did not get kicked, but it forced us to leave the playlist we were in all together and it also consistently changed the session leader. The new session leader would then have to re-select a playlist.

Other than this. Witch is a minor frustration. (I only mention it because it seems 343 doesn’t recall the way the others worked). The update appears to be a good one.

I’m glad someone else has picked up on this - I remember it in the exact way you described. Its quite baffling how the developers in charge of the franchise don’t know how the matchmaking system originally worked. Either way… a simple functional matchmaking service would be lovely!

I noticed this too.
They should put it back to how it was in 3.
