Just curious what everyone would put as their favorite OST’s.
Mine would be in this order from favorite to least favorite: 2, 5, ODST, Reach, 4, 3, and CE
I’ve always loved Halo 2’s soundtrack (Hello Incubus’ First movement of the Odyssey) and some of the tracks they re-did for the anniversary are really awesome too. Next in line to that I’d have to peg Halo 4’s, honestly did love the work Davidge put into it and a few of the community remixes that made the cut are just superb - Green and Blue come to mind for that. If there was a top 3, ODST’s smooth Jazz would definitely make the cut

Solid choices. 4s soundtrack definitely has some nice moments like you touched on. The only reason why its not any higher is because of ODST’s unique jazz sections and Reach captures the entire mood of the story better than 4 in my opinion. I thought Kazuma took some of the most memorable parts of 4s soundtracks and improved on most of them for H5, which is why I think it’s the 2nd best of all the OSTs

ODST/2 > Reach/Wars > 3/4/CE/5
#1 Halo 3 - Lots and lots of music from the game! I also feel that the “sound” of Halo was really refined and improved upon in that game.
#2 Halo 2 - Also lots of music, though a lot is compressed into “suites”, but H2 still has a lot of good music overall.
#1 Halo - The original, so of course I love it. But, the soundtrack itself is compressed even more than H2, so there is really less music overall in it.
The rest of the games are not in my list because I really don’t care for them, especially when compared to the original trilogy.
