Not sure if a thread has been posted or if anyone else has experienced this issue before but I ran into it last night while playing super fiesta on Rat race where a player I’m sure it was unintentional managed to shoot his railgun into the teleporter causing basically a kill zone right upon entering the teleporter. I didn’t think much of it when it first happened at the start of the game but towards the end when I walked through it a couple times and I saw my teammates go through it on several occasions and basically just drop dead and have it show up as a railgun kill I found it rather strange.
Sounds like the arclight glitch. Firing an arclight into an overlapping forge piece can cause this bug.

That’s probably what it was. I know he had some sort of railgun (not sure which variant) and was killed right after he shot it and people just kept dropping lol.
